Responsibilties
Electrical Maintenance & Operations:

• Perform routine and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment, motors, panels, and control systems.
• Install, test, and commission electrical wiring, switchgear, MCCs, and distribution boards.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, starters, VFDs, PLC panels (basic level), and lighting systems.
• Ensure proper earthing, insulation resistance testing, and electrical safety compliance.

Preventive Maintenance:

• Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance as per maintenance schedules.
• Record maintenance activities, faults, and corrective actions in maintenance logs.
• Identify potential electrical risks and report abnormalities promptly.

Safety & Compliance:

• Follow all electrical safety rules, lockout/tagout procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
• Use appropriate PPE and ensure tools and equipment are safe and certified.
• Support HSE initiatives and maintain a safe working environment.

Support & Coordination:

• Assist senior electricians and engineers during major shutdowns and projects.
• Coordinate with mechanical and production teams to minimize downtime.
• Support installation of new machines, cables, panels, and power systems.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Equipment uptime and reduced electrical breakdowns
• Compliance with preventive maintenance schedules
• Adherence to safety standards and procedures
• Timely response to electrical faults.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of Trade Test / OND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2 - 5 years experience as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with motors, panels, generators, and industrial power systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules, permit-to-work systems, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor use of PPE and ensure availability and compliance.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness, drills, and response activities.

Environmental Management:

• Monitor environmental aspects such as waste management, effluent discharge, emissions, and noise control.
• Ensure compliance with environmental laws, permits, and company standards.
• Promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices within operations.
• Report environmental incidents and coordinate corrective measures.

Training & Awareness:

• Conduct HSE inductions for new employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Organize regular safety trainings, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.
• Promote a strong safety culture among employees and contractors.

Compliance & Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with statutory HSE regulations and company policies.
• Maintain HSE records, reports, inspections, and audit documentation.
• Support internal and external HSE audits and regulatory inspections.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies when required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of OND / HND / BSc in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Professional HSE certification is an added advantage.
• 2–5 years HSE experience in manufacturing, industrial, or agro-based industries.
