    Technical Specialist- Finance, Reporting, Audit and General Counsel

    Description

    • The Technical Specialist coordinates and provides 1st level vetting, review of daily outputs from the Corporate Finance & Treasury, the CFO functions, Audit Function and Office of the General Counsel, sieving for management's inputs and final approval.
    • Validates compliance with company policies and guidelines and other directives as issued from line manager.
    • Helps assure Management that business internal operations compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as the Company's internal policies and ethical values including sustainability.
    • Provides support in coordination of financial, operational and IT audits across businesses to ensure compliance to business policies / procedures and helps to define corrective plans to manage fraud and error incidents.

    Requirements

    • 10 years’ experience in Finance, with at least 5 years at Senior level or a minimum of 10 years’ Audit or Legal work experience with at least 5 years management experience or minimum of 5 years’ experience with a top-tier Audit firm
    • Experience across multiple industries/markets e.g. Manufacturing, Energy, Utilities. International work experience is an added advantage.
    • A first degree in Accounting; first degree in Law i.e. (LLB) ; or any related discipline.
    • Knowledge of all relevant Financial Management and Corporate Governance legislation and policies.
    • Strong understanding of leading Corporate Finance & Governance practices/ principles and industry trends.
    • Posses strong business acumen, work ethics with good industry knowledge.
    • Excellent Communication, analytical and evaluation skills backed by understanding of accounting principles and standards.
    • In-depth understanding of internal auditing standards, responsibilities, code of ethics, and certification.

    Talent Acquisition Officer

    Job Summary

    Support the implementation of DCP’s recruitment plans and programmes covering candidate sourcing and recruitment and selection for various positions country-wide.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Prepare draft advertisement notices for vacant positions for relevant review and approval.
    • Liaise with relevant department (or third party organisation) for publication of advertisements.
    • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of CVs submitted to DCP Nigeria.
    • Perform preliminary categorisation of unsolicited CVs according to best fit and provide recommendations.
    • Participate in the review and screening of candidates’ CVs according to job requirements.
    • Schedule assessment tests and/ or interviews and ensure timely communication to candidates and interviewers.
    • Liaise with other departments or external parties to organise resources for tests and interviews (e.g. venues, equipment stationery, etc.).
    • Participate in and document outcome of candidate interview sessions.
    • Conduct reference checks on candidates at the defined stage within the recruitment/ employment process.
    • Develop draft documentation of employer/ employee agreements, terms and conditions of work in line with industrial requirements and DCP’s HR policy.

    Key Requirements

    Education and Work Experience

    • First degree or its equivalent in humanities or social sciences related discipline.
    • Professional qualification in HR Management e.g. Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) will be an added advantage.
    • 3 - 6 years relevant experience. Related work experience in a recruitment firm will be an advantage.

    Legal Officer (Contract Specialist)

    Job Responsibilities

    • Negotiating, Drafting, Review and execution of Agreements including but not limited to Non-disclosure Agreements, Oil & Gas Agreements, Sales/Purchasing Agreements, Sub-contracts, Consulting Agreements, Licensing Agreements, Master Agreements, review of customer proposed terms and conditions.
    • Serve as the point of contact for customers on contractual matters. Act as contractual “middleman” between the Company’s User division and customers, ensuring timely review and approval/reconciliation of variations.
    • On all standard and nonstandard contracts, provide redlined recommendations and often negotiate directly with customer attorneys or purchasing staff until consensus has been reached.
    • Maintain contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, contractual changes, status reports and other documents for all projects.
    • As needed, provide guidance on contract matters to project managers or other operational staff, including training to new project managers and other employees in contracting practices and procedures.
    • Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with Company policy. As appropriate, contribute to or influence company policies.
    • Work with all departments/units of the Company to coordinate necessary requirements relating to contracts and relevant transactions.
    • Extensive review of all relevant documents relating to various Contracts drafted, reviewed and/or executed. E.g., Bank Guarantees, Licenses, Permits etc.
    • Work with relevant departments/units of the Company, to ensure adherence to broader finance and risk requirements such as revenue recognition, pricing and discounting policies, export controls etc.
    • Ensure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility, awareness, and interpretation to support implementation.
    • Monitor transaction compliance (milestones, deliverables, invoicing etc.)
    • Ensure contract close-out, extension, or renewal.
    • Maintains and manages a comprehensive Contracts record database.
    • Support in the handling of litigation matters to Logical Conclusion.
    • Support in the engagement and liaison with External Solicitors to ensure judicious representation of the Company’s matters in court, alternative dispute resolution while mitigating cost for the Company.
    • Support in negotiation of solicitors fees and payment of same.
    • Some understanding of corporate governance.
    • Perform other duties, as may be assigned by the Company Secretary/General Counsel.

    Surface Miner Operator/Attendant

    Description

    Operate and attend to Surface Miners in mines operations as well as carrying out routine maintenance along with the Surface Miner Maintenance teams.

    • Sets up and operates surface miner in a safe manner
    • Positions and secures along lines of cut within the limestone body
    • Selects grinding wheel, grinding speeds, and feed rates for each operation according to knowledge of metal properties and abrasives, and mounts.
    • Observe a safe distance between the machine and other hauling equipment while maneuvering the surface miner for a fresh line of cut
    • Turns valve handle and direct flow of coolant against the cutting bits of the drums.
    • Verifies dimensions of ground workpiece for conformance to Mines specifications.
    • Respond to troubleshoot indicators in the machine.
    • Report major breakdowns to Shift supervisor/Engineer/Managers on duty
    • Paticipate in tool box talks and safety induction
    • Paticipate in routine maintenance work with the maintenance team
