    Technical Records Officer

    ROLE DESCRIPTION

    • To ensure recording, preservation, controlling, archiving and retrieving of continuous airworthiness records and delivery documents.
    • Administer all aircraft technical records and associated archives as per regulatory requirement.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Filing and maintaining required logbooks for aircraft, engines and components.
    • Recording and preservation of pertinent data on aircraft and components.
    • Recording and preservation of pertinent data on defect.
    • Arranging aircraft records in a manner and in position allowing for easy access and retrieval.
    • To keep an accurate and up to date record of flying hours and cycles of each aircraft in the relevant logbooks.
    • Review the completed tech log pages, work orders and associated paper works received from maintenance stations and ensure that the paperwork are complete in all respect and meets the regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure that all continued airworthiness records are verified in all respects and that contained information is updated in to computer system on a daily basis.
    • Ensure accurate records of all Checks, Services and Maintenance or Repair-Activities are created and maintained for future inspection by Aviation Authorities.
    • To check work pack returned against record for completeness and for proper certification.
    • Ensure continued airworthiness records are backed up regularly and stored independently and maintained in good condition.
    • To issue technical logbooks to each aircraft and keep completed copies filed.
    • To file and retain completed work pack in the relevant aircraft files.
    • Performs other duties as may be assigned.

    MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • Diploma or equivalent in related fields with 2 years relevant experience as a technical records officer in an airline or MRO environment.

    Chief Inspector

    ROLE DESCRIPTION 

    • Plans, directs and executes inspection standards to ensure the workmanship, material and procedures of maintenance activities complying with Air Peace and regulatory requirements.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supervises maintenance inspection activity for the department, ensuring that all personnel performing required inspections (RII) are properly qualified, trained, and authorized in accordance with Company procedure.
    • Establishes that calibrated tools used in the accomplishment of maintenance is in suitable condition and have been calibrated within the established time period.
    • Ensures there are no defective, non-conforming or un-airworthy parts installed in any component or aircraft released to service.
    • Establish standards and procedures for maintenance inspection system.
    • Communicates with the head of maintenance and CAA as applicable to business requirements and the progress status of the aircraft inspections.
    • Monthly/quarterly planning of resources, training, and activities of quality control team.
    • Resolve quality control issues relating to administration, staff escalations and deviations.
    • Ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded accurately and signed for in order to maintain correct and up-to-date aircraft history /data.
    • Escalate issues relating to improvement of policies and procedures.
    • Report incidents/accident occurrences as per company procedures.
    • Adhering to the company safety, health, and environmental policy.
    • Assist with initial indoctrination training of new hires as requested.
    • Supervise and develop quality control inspectors for improved competency/ efficiency

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE 

    • Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical/electrical/aeronautical/ instrumentation).
    • At least 10 years aircraft maintenance experience, 3 years of which should be as a Senior engineer/Supervisor.
    • Basic License (B1/B2) plus approval on either B737 Classic, Embraer 195-E2, Embraer 145 or B777 aircraft type.
    • Three years of aviation inspection experience.
    • Excellent communication skills
    • .Specialist knowledge of aircraft systems.
    • Specialist knowledge of aviation legislation/regulations.
    • Proficiency in computer applications and MRO system.
    • Ability to interpret technical data.
    • People management.

    Supervisor Maintenance Planning

    ROLE DESCRIPTION 

    • To develop short term, mid-term and long term maintenance forecasts based on level of operations and plan their requirements in terms of manpower, material, tools and ground time.
    • To guide the planning, scheduling, coordinating, and controlling the inspection, repair and modification of APL aircraft and components.
    • Supervise and develop the skill level of the team and build an effective Maintenance planning Team.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Supervises the day-to-day planning, scheduling, controlling and measuring performance of the inspection, overhaul, repair and modifications of aircraft in hangar and line maintenance.
    • Provides service to APL through Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and controlling the inspection, repair and modification of APL aircraft;
    • Develops short term, mid- term and long term maintenance forecasts based on level of operations planned by commercial plan
    • To pre-plan and progress all routine scheduled maintenance including reloading of required parts, materials, and tooling.
    • To develop and issue maintenance work packages, work highlights, manpower summaries and critical path charts.
    • To schedule work on aircraft, ensuring that process and repairs are completed in the most effective way and working with supervisors to monitor progress.
    • To ensure proper analysis of inspection findings with the view of optimizing maintenance programs for safe and cost-effective operations.
    • To reduce product cost through optimization of maintenance programme requirements.
    • To schedule maintenance events with the view to minimizing flight hour losses due to early check scheduling.
    • Coordinates with Supply chain, Records, Maintenance Control and Quality Control as required.
    • Ensures availability of major components for forecasted scheduled changes.

    MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE: 

    • B.Sc or equivalent in Engineering discipline with 3 years relevant experience in airline Maintenance Planning role.
    • AMEL with 3 years relevant experience in airline Maintenance Planning role.
    • Good knowledge and understanding of commercial airline maintenance planning, forecasting, and packaging.
