    Technical Officer - Nutrition

    Job Description

    • Will provide technical and programmatic support to implement high quality care and support activities with primary focus on clinical management of severe Acute malnutrition at the Stabilization Centre (SC) in Banki. S/He will provide day-to-day technical and programmatic support-related nutritional and integrated medical services at the SC guided by strategies and approaches related to the implementation programs.
    • The incumbent will contribute to the development of lessons learned from programs and projects related to nutritional and integrated medical services and apply these lessons to modify existing programs and improve the design of new programs.
    • S/He will assist in strengthening a system of reporting on program progress against stated objectives and monitoring and evaluation frameworks, contribute to the development of program strategies, subproject documents and work plans. Sensitize main stakeholders on CMAM and need for support and commitment for long-term access to life saving activities for children; at this stage the overall entry/exit strategy can be shared emphasizing the vital role of the stakeholders to make this happen.
    • Work closely with assigned team to ensure activities are implemented according to standard operating procedures (SOP’s).

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • MB.BS / MD / PHD, B. Sc Nursing with post-graduate degree, or similar degree with 1 to 3 years relevant experience in clinical care with a sound understanding of humanitarian integrated health program delivery in resource constrained settings.
    • Possession of an MPH or post graduate degree in a related field will be an added advantage.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian health sector systems and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.

    Technical Officer - Preservice

    Job Responsibilities

    • This position will be responsible for developing and implementing the project’s pre-service programming to improve teachers’ skills in basic literacy and math instruction.
    • H/She will assist in the designing, development and revising materials for pre-service in alignment with the Nigerian curriculum and global best practices in literacy and mathematics by supporting to design and review national pre-service education policies.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Sociology, Community Development, Social Work and Social Administration or Social Sciences; and must be computer literate (MS Office Packages/Internet).
    • Competency and skills in community engagement and understanding of education and gender issues; sensitivity to cultural differences and understanding of political and ethical issues.
    • Ability to work well with others, develop and maintain compatibility among recipients of assistance.
    • Five (5) years working experience with INGOs, NGOs and/or CBOs.
    • Excellent Interpersonal skills, cross cultural and collaborative.
    • Outstanding communication skills (Oral and Written).

    Technical Officer - Math

    Responsibilities

    • This position will be responsible for developing and implementing the project’s overall math approach, in conjunction with other FHI 360 technical leads.
    • H/She will support in developing and revising materials for math instruction, in alignment with the Nigerian curriculum and global best practices as well as engage with designing in-service training materials to improve teacher practices around mathematics.
    • H/She will also assist in building stakeholder capacity around evidence-based math practices.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • Bachelor’s Degree or its International Equivalent in Mathematics Communications, Education, Environment, Health, Behavioral, Life/Social Sciences International Development, Human Development or Related Field, and 5-7 years relevant experience.
    • Master’s Degree or its International Equivalent in Mathematics, Communications, Education, Environment, Health, Behavioral, Life/Social Sciences International Development, Human Development or Related Field, and 3-5 years relevant experience
    • 2-4 years’ experience with education programs
    • Articulate and professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive fashion with clients and staff.
    • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English, fluency in Hausa or Kanuri highly desired.
    • International or Domestic (US) Program Development or Program management preferred.
    • Must be proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector, NGOs, and CBOs.

    Program Assistant

    Job Responsibilities

    • Under the supervision and oversight from the Program Officer, the Program Assistant will perform functional assistance in relation to planning, design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of activities under the PLANE program.
    • She/He will provide support in strengthening systems of reporting on program activities, program strategies and work plan.
    • She/He will also support the program officer in capacity building efforts aimed at Local Implementing Agencies (IAs).

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • Or MS/MA degree in public health, business administration, health sciences, behavioral sciences, or its recognized equivalent with 1-2 years relevant experience with international development programs.
    • Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is an advantage.
    • Ability to work well with others, develop and maintain compatibility among recipients of assistance.

    Finance Assistant

    Job Description

    • Under the direction of the Finance Officer, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for the provision of accounting, administrative, and logistical support services at PLANE state offices.
    • H/She will support in preparing of the monthly reporting/budget data entry and maintenance of all financial records.
    • Also function as a lead for processing cash advances, retirements, petty cash management for the project.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • University Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
    • Experience in administrative and secretarial skills

    Consultant Nurse

    Responsibilities

    • The main purpose of this project is to accelerate the ability of governments (at state, and local levels), key population leaders, organizations working with key populations, and private-sector providers to plan and implement services that reduce HIV transmission among key populations and their sexual partners and extend the lives of those already living with HIV. Specific objectives include:
    • Increased availability of comprehensive prevention, care and treatment services including reliable coverage across the continuum of care for key populations.
    • Demand for comprehensive prevention, care and treatment services among key populations enhanced and sustained.
    • Strengthened systems for planning, monitoring, evaluating, and assuring the quality of programs for key populations.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • Degree in Nursing / Midwifery and A degree in Public Health is an added advantage
    • Robust clinical experience in HIV/AIDS care and treatment
    • Experience in providing Key Population services and or comprehensive Reproductive Health services (3years + preferable) 1 year of which should be as an adherence counsellor in HIV service delivery
    • Excellent grasp of clinical issues and current literature in HIV/AIDS and SRH
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Computer literacy
    • Fluency in written and spoken English 
    • Ability to communicate in local dialect
    • KP Experience will be an added advantage.
