    Team Lead, Procurement

    Job Summary

    • In the role of Team Lead Procurement, you will be part of the Finance Department in the Club and Lounge Operations. You will define, implement and manage all aspects of the facility’s procurement and storeroom operations.
    • This position reports to the Chief Accountant and works closely with Operational Teams.

    The Responsibilities

    • Oversee the operation of storerooms
    • Support capital projects and associated spares

    The Other Qualifications

    • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Supply Management

    Chief Auditor - Nightlife

    Description

    • Our client is currently in search of a seasoned nightlife auditor to reconcile all accounts, process invoices, and oversee financial records for the club, and lounge.
    • The nightlife auditor is expected to ensure that assets are secured through appropriate control measures and ensure that its financial records meet all legal standards for accuracy.

    Responsibilities

    • Performing the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
    • Determining internal audit scope and developing annual plans
    • Obtaining, analyzing, and evaluating accounting documentation, reports, data, flowcharts, etc.
    • Ensuring that all end-of-day activities have been successfully executed by employees in all departments
    • Creating invoices, bills, and checks for vendors, employees, and contractors
    • Managing and updating all official documentation about the role
    • Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
    • Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans
    • Obtain, analyze and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts, etc
    • Prepare and present reports that reflect the audit’s results and document the process
    • Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality a, and goal achievement

    Requirements and skills

    • Advanced computer skills in MS Office tools, accounting software, and databases

    Chief Accountant - Nightlife

    Job Description

    • The Accountant supports the financial statement close cycle and operational accounting functions to ensure timely reporting and compliance with relevant procedures and controls. Responsible for accurate accounting of payroll, benefits, and fixed assets, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliation for assigned areas.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for specific accounts as assigned, including payroll and benefits
    • Understand when fixed assets should be properly capitalized and ensures that related documentation is complete and accurate
    • Post and reconcile revenue daily/monthly
    • Prepare analysis of fluctuation in Balance Sheet and P&L statements as assigned
    • Prepare financial and audit schedules and reports as assigned
    • Work closely with management to collect any receivables
    • Prepare Sales reports and ensure that taxes are paid timely
    • Prepare, review, and record the month-end inventory count
    • Prepare applicable tax returns such as Sales & Use Tax
    • Work on special projects and assist team members as needed
    • Assist and/ or complete additional tasks as assigned

    Education / Requirements

    • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of 10 years work experience.
    • Must be professionally certified chattered ACA or equivalent
    • Candidates with Nightlife experience will have more advantage

    Working Knowledge Requirements:

    • Must have two to three (2-3) years of direct work experience in the Nightlife industry
    • Great Plains experience preferred
    • Proficient in Windows Microsoft Office, Mac OSX, POS systems

    • Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff, clients, and the general public

    Operations Manager - Nightlife (Club & Lounge)

    Job Summary

    • Our client is looking for a proactive and passionate Operations Manager to manage the day-to-day operations and processes of the business.
    • Candidates for this position must have a hospitality background before sending an application. Our General Manager needs a strong right arm to assist in opening and closing our major nightclub here in Benin City.

    • Maintains and creates relationships within the industry to increase revenues and guest attendance in the venue
    • Manages sales and conversions
    • Provides clear handover during shift changes, ensuring each shift is reviewed and handovers/briefings are carried out
    • Stays aware and notified all staff of menu changes, special requests and any upcoming party reservations are properly prepared for and implemented
    • Reviews and communicates financial concerns and new information with the General Manager of the venue.
    • Manages monthly inventory control/turnover
    • Controls costs without compromising standards and customer experience
    • Assists with building and maintaining an efficient team of employees, driving the team towards meeting and attempting to exceed business objectives
    • Supports the delivery of all key training with the General Manager, identifying training needs and capability gaps within the team
    • Promotes a positive and open-door policy with the venue staff at all times
    • Audits holiday/sick/vacation and scheduling needs on a daily and weekly basis
    • Ensures a safe workplace by identifying and reporting hazards and taking corrective action where needed
    • Responds to alleged food hygiene issues, deploying all necessary resources to protect reputation, guest satisfaction at all time
    • Trains staff and addresses any issues regarding training on a daily and weekly basis
    • Effectively oversees and directs all venue, lounge, and/or bar operations in a smooth and professional manner
    • Reviews/addresses venue and staff issues with upper and lower level management in a timely and organized manner

    Qualifications

    • B.Sc or equivalent (Preferred)
    • Must have five years of Lounge/Nightclub Management experience, preferably in a Casino environment
    • Previous experience managing new venue concepts is a plus, with experience in Casino being most ideal
    • Proven leadership abilities with emphasis on creating and maintaining positive work environments
    • Must be able to manage multiple tasks in stressful environments
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential
    • Experience managing P/L and budgets is a plus
