    Supervisor: Fuel

    Job Context

    • The Fuel Monitoring Specialist is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of fuel management across a fleet of 500+ trucks. 
    • The role focuses on real-time monitoring of fuel sensors and probes, verifying fuel dispensing operations, optimizing sensor performance, managing third-party service providers, and preventing fuel losses.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Monitor the performance of fuel sensors and probes installed on all trucks.
    • Ensure sensors are functioning optimally and remain within the acceptable tolerance levels of accuracy.
    • Report faults or discrepancies and ensure timely repairs or calibration.
    • Ensure accurate quantities of fuel are dispensed from company dumps, third-party filling stations, and directly from partners such as NB Breweries.
    • Validate fuel delivery and offloading records against system data and physical confirmations.
    • Identify and block all potential leakages in the fuel supply chain, including unauthorized offloads and shortchanging incidents.
    • Investigate discrepancies and take corrective action in collaboration with relevant departments.
    • Liaise with third-party service providers to ensure proper maintenance and functioning of fuel monitoring systems.
    • Hold vendors accountable for service level agreements (SLAs) and escalate non-compliance.
    • Ensure strict adherence to all contractual obligations relating to fuel supply and monitoring.
    • Ensure the company receives full value for all fuel-related expenditures.
    • Recommend improvements to ensure optimal cost-efficiency and operational transparency.
    • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on fuel usage, probe performance/accuracy, and discrepancies.
    • Analyze trends to provide actionable insights for operational improvement.
    • Support audit processes with accurate records and data.
    • Recommend improvements to processes based on fuel consumption trends and probe performance.
    • Provide data-driven insights for informed decision-making.

    Qualifications Required

    • Bachelor’s Degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

    Experience and Skills Required:

    • Minimum of 3 years
    • Customer relationship management
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office package
    • In-depth understanding of fuel probe/sensor technology and telematics systems.
    • Knowledge of how fuel is dispensed, tracked, and reconciled across various sources (dumps, stations, breweries, etc.)
    • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, charts, etc.).

    Pharmacist Deputy

    Job Function

    • This role involves being responsible for the quality oversight of operations, including Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) activities, in the Distribution Centre (DC). 
    • This includes ensuring consistency with adherence to regulatory standards and alignment with business objectives. 
    • Key responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of quality control measures, monitoring HSE practices, and ensuring that operational activities within the DC comply with relevant regulations.

    Key Performance Areas

    Operational & HR Management: 

    • Oversees the registration, continued renewal, and maintenance of annual premises licence of the Pharma warehouse.
    • Ensures the compliance and monitoring of all operational staff with GWP, GSP and agreed clients’ SOPs.
    • Drives the quality culture of the DC as it pertains receipt, storage, dispatch, and distribution of all products in the DC.
    • Prepares and forwards to the line managers relevant Monthly Reports based on agreed format. Prepares and forwards to the ICT Manager and relevant managers, weekly and monthly security systems report in the agreed format.
    • Ensures adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLA).
    • Support the monitoring and evaluation of third-party service providers performance as required.
    • Lead DC-side engagements on all audits (internal and client) and other regulatory enquiries.
    • Ensure all regulatory compliance for the DC.
    • Carry out scheduled self-inspections to ensure compliance is maintained.

    Customer service:

    • Ensures efficient service delivery to customers and prompt resolution of quality complaints (within 24 hours).
    • Ensures immediate escalation of quality complaints beyond resolution after 24 hours to clients or line managers as applicable.

    Storage Management: 

    • Ensure products are stored within the right temperature range, monitor and report.
    • Ensures 100% accuracy of batch and shelf-life management of all product categories.
    • Ensures proper management of all controlled drugs and entries into the poison book.
    • Ensures storage and management of damaged and expired products in the segregated areas according to quality and regulatory standards.
    • Review, investigate, resolve, and report on quality complaints, deviations, and discrepancies. Determine deviations that could impact product quality in storage and distribution and escalate as applicable.
    • Facilitate the storage management of products placed on NAFDAC HOLD, and the control, sampling, and release of same.

    Assets & Risk Management: 

    • Support the maintenance/management of DC operational and quality assets such as security system installations, air cooling systems, generators, MHEs etc.
    • Ensures these assets above are serviced as at when due.
    • Ensures all temperature monitoring and record devices are compliant with required standards as per calibration, re-calibration and validation.
    • Perform root cause analysis of deviations, develop, and implement corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans to prevent re-occurrence.

    HSE:

    • Shall promote a culture of safety and align with MDS HSEQ policy and guidelines.
    • Coordinates the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) activities in the DC.
    • Ensure adherence to operational and asset maintenance and usage guidelines to avoid incidences.
    • Ensures periodic training are conducted for all staff on HSE policies, SHE and OPs SOPs.
    • Ensures fire drills are conducted as scheduled.

    Qualifications Required

    • Bachelor’s Degree in pharmacy (B. Pharm.) or any related field

    Experience and Skills Required:

    • Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in supply chain quality management system
    • Sound understanding of HSE, Quality and Regulatory management systems.
    • Cold chain storage management.
    • Experience with Regulatory Agencies such as PCN and NAFDAC.
    • WMS experience (SAP and related software)
    • Process or workflow management · Standard Operating Procedure management.
