    Storekeeper

    Position Summary

    • The Storekeeper is a vital member of the event planning team responsible for efficiently managing the inventory and supplies needed for events.
    • This role involves maintaining accurate records, organizing materials, and ensuring the availability of necessary items to support smooth event operations.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the inventory of event-related items, including decorations, equipment, materials, and supplies.
    • Receive incoming deliveries, inspect goods for quality and quantity, and ensure that they align with the event planner's requirements.
    • Organize and arrange stock items systematically for easy access and tracking. Implement a first-in-first-out (FIFO) system to manage perishable items effectively.
    • Maintain detailed records of stock transactions, update inventory databases, and prepare reports on stock levels, usage, and shortages.
    • Monitor stock levels regularly and initiate purchase orders for restocking based on inventory needs and upcoming events.
    • Ensure that all items meet quality standards and address any discrepancies or defects promptly.
    • Collaborate with event planners to understand upcoming event requirements, anticipate needs, and prepare necessary supplies accordingly.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure timely deliveries.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure that all stored items are appropriately secured and protected from damage.
    • Implement efficient waste management practices to minimize loss and disposal costs.
    • Assist in managing the budget related to inventory, making cost-effective decisions without compromising event quality.

    Requirements

    • WASC / OND / HND Holder
    • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recording inventory data.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and suppliers.

    Store Loader (Event Planning Organization)

    Position Summary

    • The Store Loader in an event planning organization is responsible for efficiently managing the loading and unloading of event-related materials, equipment, and supplies.
    • This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth flow of inventory for various events and maintaining an organized storage system.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in loading and unloading event supplies, decorations, and equipment from delivery trucks and other transportation vehicles.
    • Sort, stack, and organize event materials in designated storage areas, following established storage guidelines and safety protocols.
    • Help prepare event supplies for delivery to event venues, ensuring items are packed securely and labeled accurately.
    • Monitor inventory levels of event supplies and equipment, replenishing stock as needed to ensure availability for upcoming events.
    • Operate material handling equipment such as dollies, carts, and pallet jacks to move event materials safely and efficiently.
    • Collaborate with event planners and coordinators to understand specific event requirements and ensure all necessary materials are available on time.
    • Inspect event materials for damages, defects, or discrepancies, and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
    • Keep the loading and storage areas clean and organized, promoting a safe and efficient working environment.
    • Assist in the setup and teardown of event spaces, helping with the arrangement of equipment and decorations as required.
    • Work cooperatively with other event staff to ensure seamless event execution and contribute to the overall success of events.

    Requirements

    • WASC or equivalent
    • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods, as event supplies can be bulky and heavy.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling event materials to prevent damage and ensure items are delivered correctly.
    • Basic math skills for counting and checking event supplies during loading and unloading processes.
    • Familiarity with material handling equipment and safety procedures (training may be provided).
    • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with event planners, coordinators, and other team members.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate event schedules.
