    Software Developer

    Job Description

    • Experienced software developer to be engaged in all phases of the software development lifecycle which includes: gathering and analyzing user/business system requirements, responding to outages and creating application system models
    • Participate in design meetings and consult with clients to refine, test and debug programs to meet business needs and interact and sometimes direct third party partners in the achievement of business and technology initiatives.

    Requirements / Qualifications

    • Minumun of 7 years practical experience as a software developer or similar position.
    • Understanding of modern software design principles such as MVC, DDD, SOA etc.
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) certification is an added advantage.
    • Must have C# knowledge and practical experience.
    • Knowledge of the software development life-cycle.
    • Experience in Agile frameworks and popular coding languages (e.g. JavaScript).
    • Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment.
    • Experience with databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks (e.g. Hibernate).
    • Ability to learn new languages and technologies.

    Job Functions / Responsibilities

    • Develop, test and implement new software programs.
    • Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues.
    • Design and update software database. This includes, but is not limited to: Software Applications, Web Sites, Data Communication Processes and User Interfaces.
    • Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
    • Independently install, customize and integrate commercial software packages.
    • Facilitate root cause analysis of system issues.
    • Work with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing.
    • Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability.
    • Resolve complex technical design issues.
    • Integrate software components and third-party programs.
    • Verify and deploy programs and systems.
    • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software.

    Corporate Lawyer

    Job Description

    Corporate lawyer to serve as an in-house lawyer to handle all complex legal issues and projects. You will ensure the legality of all the company’s commercial transactions and advise the company on legal rights and duties. The principal goal will be to ensure that all the company’s transactions comply with legal/corporate regulations.

    Job Functions/Responsibilities

    • Consult and handle all corporate legal processes (e.g. intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, financial/securities offerings, compliance issues, transactions, agreements, patents).
    • Negotiate and coordinate business transactions.
    • Handling all matters and communications related to the CAC.
    • Provide utmost confidentiality in all business-related matters.
    • Manage different types of contracts, legal reports and supporting documentation.
    • Design and review the company’s policy and position on legal matters.
    • Inspect all legal issues related to new products and services.
    • Research, anticipate and guard the company against legal risks and violations.
    • Engaging and working closely with external legal counsel as and when required.
    • Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
    • Structure, draft and review reports and other legal documents.
    • Represent company in legal proceedings (administrative boards, court trials etc.).
    • Draft and administer all contracts.
    • Negotiate deals and attend company meetings.

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • Proven experience as a corporate lawyer.
    • Proven background on corporate law (contract law, tax law, accounting, securities law, bankruptcy, intellectual property rights, licensing, zoning laws, etc.).
    • Excellent technical understanding of Nigerian law relating to corporate and commercial law, capital markets, corporate banking,  corporate finance, etc.
    • Minimum of 7 years post call to bar experience.
    • Good time-management skills.
    • Ability to multi-task.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong presentation skills.
    • Excellent judgement.
    • Sound research and writing skills.
    • Critical-thinking.
    • Outstanding managerial and negotiation skills.
