    Senior Investment Analyst

    Location: Marina, Lagos

    Industry: Finance/Investment

    Salary: 450,000 – 500,000 Net

    Experience: 4-7 years 

    Work Mode: Hybrid

    Job Summary

    Portfolio Management and Fund Administration; Economic and Securities Research; Corporate Finance; Financial Advisory and Transactions Services

    Responsibilities

    • Portfolio Management and Fund Administration;
    • Provide Financial planning services to varied clientele;
    • Conduct economic (macro and micro) and investment research, both locally and internationally across different asset classes;
    • Report on the investment performance of all asset classes as well as activities.
    • Manage various portfolios with the aim of maximizing investment returns
    • Ensure portfolio acceptable levels of risk align with set objectives
    • Maintain industry/sector information, analysis and data;
    • Manage and review the firm’s trading activities;
    • Develop strategic and tactical views on the financial markets;
    • Educate team on current and forward-looking financial conditions.
    • Develop and manage proprietary accounts; and
    • Build and manage relationships with Clients.
    • Conduct in-depth research and valuations of companies – listed and unlisted including financial statement analysis; 
    • Preparing feasibility/investment reports on business opportunities (including highlighting key transaction risks) from both a debt and equity funding perspective to enable Management to make investment decisions; 

    Skills:

    • Excellent Analytical Skills and inquisitive with a strong desire to learn;
    • Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills;
    • Adhere to strict ethical standards in the gathering and dissemination of information including the use of such information in investment decision-making;
    • Exhibit willingness to study extensively to gather information; desire to constantly and progressively improve the knowledge base and a strong propensity for personal development;
    • Excellent numeracy and business writing skills;
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision and take responsibility for quality and accuracy of output;
    • Ability to develop and work with other members of the team;
    • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; and
    • Entrepreneurial mindset.

    Qualification

    • Minimum of a B.Sc in any numeracy-related course (i.e., Commercial, Sciences or Engineering) from a reputable university;
    • MSc or MBA is an added advantage;
    • A strong and proven interest in Finance, Investments and the business world;
    • Finance related Professional qualifications are required (ACA, ACCA, CFA); 
    • Not more than 35 years.
    • 4-7 years relevant work experience;

    Finance Manager

    Job responsibilities:

    Overall Key Responsibilities:

    • Take on a leadership role in financial decision-making that affects the company and provide strategic financial input to senior management.
    • To oversee the overall financial management process and play a key role in developing and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of our firm.
    • To contribute to the development of the financial and operational strategy, KPIs, and the ongoing development and monitoring of the financial system.
    • To assess financial risks and opportunities, setting and tracking financial goals, objectives, and budgets.
    • Execute the financial strategy and drive the financial planning process of the company
    • Reviews financials via financial scorecard monthly (done a minimum once a month)
    • Understands any variances and their causes (both good and bad) and creates any plans necessary to handle adjustments

    • Deciding on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
    • Manage financial controls and accounting procedures
    • Ensure full transparency over the financial performance of the company

    • Propose action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are achieved
    • Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.
    • Review the annual and monthly budgets and monitors adherence to budget through monthly performance reviews
    • Prepare accurate and reliable cashflow forecasting reports and manage the cash position
    • Prepare a cashflow projection for the company and manage the cash position
    • Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
    • Ensure that all statutory deductions and tax returns are filed on time
    • Review bank statements, processing bank deposits and all associated finance entries

    Skills and Attributes

    • Financial / commercial management exposure
    • Strong financial and accounting background
    • Experience with corporate governance.
    • Proven negotiation skills.
    •  Our ideal candidate must be ready to grow into a CFO role.

    Qualification: 

    • BSc/MBA and a Professional Qualification. ACCA/ICAN, or its equivalent, will be an added advantage.
    • Desired Age: Below 45 years

    DevOps Junior Developer
