    Senior Global Operations Manager

    Summary of Role:  

    The Senior Global Operations Manager will support Pathfinder Global Services (GSO) team to ensure effective and efficient management of the GSO operation needs across Pathfinder offices. The Global Operations Manager will design, plan and oversee global operational systems that are fit for purpose in a globally dispersed, locally led, values-driven organization to ensure the goals and objectives of the Board and the Leadership Team are achieved.

    Location: Preferably Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cote D’Ivoire, DRC, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Jordan, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Niger, Pakistan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, or the US. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    Global Operations Manual and Procedures

    • Develop and rollout Global Operations Manual.
    • Design and provide Global Operations Manual training to all Pathfinder offices.
    • Support Pathfinder Country Offices in developing local operations procedures in line with the Global Operations Manual
    • Provide operations oversight and support to Pathfinder offices, executive management, and GSO team.

    Organizational policies and procedures

    • Coordinate with each functional department of the organization to understand internal processes; document current procedures; and provide process improvement feedback to the Executive Team.
    • Update, revise (as needed), and maintain organizational policy dashboard.
    • Communicate with appropriate unit Leads when policy updates are needed.
    • Coordinate with the Sr. Director of Internal Audit and Compliance policy updates, revisions, and approvals.
    • Update and maintain Pathfinder “Policy Center” IShare page

    Coordination of the Global Services (GSO) trainings

    • Coordinate with HR to review, update and revise Pathfinder mandatory training calendar for GSO administered & managed training.
    • Coordinate with GSO Service Unit Leads to ensure that GSO mandatory training sessions are rollout out according to the organizational training calendar.
    • Work with GSO Service  Unit Leads to track and report mandatory training compliance information/data to the Executive Team.

    Management of Registration process – Pathfinder Country Offices

    • Work with Pathfinder Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and Country Directors (CD) to coordinate and support Pathfinder Country Registration processes.
    • Coordinate with the outside legal counsel any legal requirements, documents, Pathfinder organizational. documents, etc. to complete the registration processes
    • Maintain Pathfinder country registration documents in the internal drive/system and track its validity/expiration
    • Coordinate with the CLO and CDs country registration renewal process as needed.

    Global Security & Coordination of Regional Security Personnel  

    • Serve as the main focal point to Pathfinder Regional Security Manager and Country Security Officers on specific matters related to global security.
    • In collaboration with Regional Security Manager develop and maintain an internal reporting system related to security concerns and incident reporting. 
    • In collaboration with Regional Security Manager, review and provide input to the country's security plans during pre-award and post-award processes. 
    • Review office leases to ensure that security concerns are addressed.
    • Update and maintain Pathfinder "Security Resource Center."
    • In collaboration with Regional Security Officer, rollout "Crisis Management Policy" to Pathfinder office leadership to explain specific protocols outlined in the policy. 

    GSO (Global Operations Unit) support & special projects

    • Develop Operation’s Unit annual goals based on Pathfinder organizational goals and strategic priorities.
    • Develop and manage the annual workplan and budget of the business unit.
    • Supervise Regional Security Manager and Operations Coordinator/TBD
    • Support the GSO Global Operations Unit in achieving organizational goals and priorities.
    • Work on special projects as requested.

    Required Education and Work Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field required;
    • At least 7 years of experience in operations and project management is required; 5-10 additional years of experience would be considered in lieu of an advanced degree
    • Advanced knowledge and hands on experience developing global operations systems, writing polices, manuals, training and capacity building.
    • Prior supervisory experience managing staff in different geographic locations and time zones

    Preferred Education and Work Experience:

    • Master’s in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field required;
    • 5 years or more working with an NGO
    • French, Portuguese or Amharic language skills

    Director, Project Management Office

    Key Responsibilities:

    Country Led Strategy & Execution: 

    • Ensure clarity around vision for Country Led Strategy
    • Ensure follow through in changes needed to achieve CLS vision
    • Connect dots and help to manage change across the organization

    Global Accountability Execution:

    • Work with GSO and other units to ensure global accountability is defined and executed

    Global DEI:

    • Work with CGSO, core team, and consultants to refresh global DEI at Pathfinder

    GSO Management, Leadership Retreats, and Global Conference Planning:

    • Work with CGSO and GSO leaders to plan and execute needed meetings, retreats, and conferences

    Corporate Metrics/Dashboards:

    • Lead development of a corporate dashboard for Pathfinder, aligning with other dashboards and metrics across the organization

    Revenue Generation:

    • Support business development, as needed

    • Project, program, and/or portfolio management in the countries where Pathfinder works
    • English – oral and written

    Preferred Education and Work Experience:

    • Master's degree in global health, environment, social justice or related areas of international development and seven (7) or more years or relevant work experience
    • Country office capacity strengthening experience
    • Work with USAID and non-USAID donor funding (FCDO, Gates, UN agencies, World Bank, and/or private sector)
    • Amharic, French or Portuguese preferred

    Digital Health Technical Advisor

    Summary of Role:  

    Pathfinder is seeking a creative Digital Health Software Developer (DHSD) willing to learn and create new systems and technologies pertinent to the work at Pathfinder. The DHSD will work as a member of the Digital Health team and Innovations Team and lead in the development and implementation of complex digital health tools and platforms, to include system integration, client configuration, using both open source and proprietary solutions.

    The DHSD will have a strong understanding of analytical tools and enterprise architecture components, such as data warehouses, interoperability layers, etc. The DHSD will design, develop, test, and implement digital technologies and tools, including, web-based management information systems and business intelligence implementations.

    Engage directly with technical leadership and project teams on digital health technologies to include front and back-end development, and mobile Applications, using .NET in web (ASP.NET) and client-side application development. The DHSD will use agile development approaches, conduct systems requirement and documentation to develop Use Cases, Detailed Functional Requirements, Detailed Design Specifications, and Software Requirement Specifications to scale.

    In collaboration with the Digital Health and Innovations Team, the DHSD will provide guidance on how Pathfinder can support approaches that consider interoperability and data standards at national and global levels and identify opportunities to improve health systems and meet other programmatic challenges through the appropriate application of digital technology.

    In collaboration with other technical and program staff, the DHSD WILL lead meetings, training sessions, or workshops in the work planning, design, implementation, or evaluation of digital technologies for program activities. In support of Pathfinder’s digital strategy, the DHSD will keep up to date with latest industry trends and to recommend the appropriate (existing and frontier) technology solutions for low- and middle-income systems.

    Location:

    Key Responsibilities:

    Design and protype digital solutions:

    • Work with the Digital Health and Innovations team and project managers to support the analysis, design, development, and implementation of technologies, including activities such as requirement analysis and information systems design

    Quality assurance and testing

    • Provide quality assurance to assure quality of applications before implementation, including conducting software testing, provide guidance and technical support on software frameworks, and components including databases and software packages and ensuring the completeness of software documentation.

    Data collection and data analysis

    • Support the development of information system assessments to evaluate and audit its technical effectiveness and performance. These assignments will require testing software to analyze and document data flow, usability, source code efficiency, scalability, software engineer standards, database optimization and computer networks requirements.

    Data collection training and integration support

    • Support development and delivery of training on the use of the digital tools and information systems developed in the scope of the project to technical staff at central and rayon levels.
    • Support business development, external engagement, and other Pathfinder units in developing concept notes, proposal, and digital demonstrations.

    Project digital health support

    • Participate in technical forums related to electronic database and electronic application development for government stakeholders (ministry of health, ministry of education etc.) that Pathfinder supports

    Required Education and Work Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree
    • Five (5) years or more of global related and focused software development and implementation programs
    • Minimum four (4) years or more of experience managing software development projects
    • Understanding of analytical tools and enterprise architecture components, such as data warehouses, interoperability layers, etc.
    • Proven experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing digital technologies and tools, including, web-based management information systems and business intelligence implementations.

    Preferred Education and Work Experience:

    • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems of Health Informatics
    • Data Systems support, with API/data exchange and integration, ODK and data base administration
    • Work across the entire software development lifecycle including high-level and detailed design, software implementation, verification, and maintenance activities
