Senior Accountant at Perez Medcare

About the Role

• We are seeking a highly competent, detail-oriented, and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, monitoring budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing financial insights to support sound business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and financial transactions.
• Maintain proper records of income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts, and accounting schedules.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow projections.
• Review invoices, payment requests, receipts, and supporting financial documentation.
• Monitor payroll-related accounting and statutory deductions where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial policies.
• Monitor tax obligations and liaise with relevant tax professionals or authorities when required.
• Identify financial risks, discrepancies, and control weaknesses and recommend appropriate solutions.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
• 8-10years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in healthcare, hospitals, medical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of Nigerian tax and statutory requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software.
• Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Remuneration

• Remuneration is open for negotiation and will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, skills, and the responsibilities of the role.
