    Senior Accountant

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records

    Legal Officer

    Job Summary

    • Mindas Petroleum Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Officer to support the company’s legal and compliance functions.
    • The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for reviewing, drafting, vetting, and managing contracts and legal documents to ensure that the company’s interests are adequately protected.
    • The role also involves providing legal advice on business transactions, regulatory compliance, and corporate matters within the downstream oil and gas sector.

    Key Responsibilities
    Contract Review & Management:

    • Review, draft, vet, and negotiate contracts, agreements, Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and other legal documents.
    • Identify legal risks and provide recommendations to mitigate potential liabilities.
    • Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Maintain a centralized contract repository and monitor contract expiration and renewal dates.
    • Support various departments by reviewing commercial and operational agreements before execution.

    Legal Advisory:

    • Provide legal guidance on business operations, procurement activities, vendor engagements, and corporate transactions.
    • Interpret laws, regulations, and contractual provisions affecting company operations.
    •  Advise management on legal implications of business decisions.

    Regulatory Compliance:

    • Monitor compliance with applicable Nigerian laws and industry regulations.
    • Assist in ensuring adherence to corporate governance standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Liaise with regulatory agencies, external counsel, and government authorities when required.

    Risk Management:

    • Conduct legal risk assessments on proposed business transactions.
    • Identify and recommend solutions to legal and compliance issues.
    • Assist in developing policies and procedures that reduce legal exposure.

    Documentation & Reporting:

    • Prepare legal correspondence, notices, and internal legal reports.
    • Maintain accurate legal records and documentation.
    • Provide periodic reports on contract status, legal risks, and compliance matters.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Percentage of contracts reviewed within agreed turnaround time.
    • Number of contract-related risks identified and mitigated.
    • Compliance rate with contractual and regulatory requirements.
    • Accuracy and quality of legal documentation.
    • Timeliness of legal advice provided to internal stakeholders.
    • Reduction in contract disputes and legal exposure.
    • Effectiveness of contract tracking and renewal management.

    Skills and Requirements
    Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree (LL.B) in Law.
    • Must be called to the Nigerian Bar (BL) and possess a valid practicing license.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 2–3 years of post-call legal experience.
    • Experience in contract drafting, review, and legal advisory services.
    • Experience in the oil and gas, energy, manufacturing, or corporate sector will be an added advantage.

    Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of Nigerian contract law and commercial law.
    • Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Operations Manager

    Job Summary

    • The Operations Manager will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of Mindas Petroleum Limited across its downstream petroleum business, including fuel distribution, depot operations, logistics, safety compliance, and operational efficiency.
    • The role requires a strong leader with deep industry knowledge to ensure seamless operations, profitability, regulatory compliance, and excellent service delivery.

    Key Responsibilities
    Operations & Supply Chain Management:

    • Oversee end - to - end downstream operations including fuel procurement, storage, distribution, and delivery.
    • Manage depot and retail station operations to ensure availability of products (PMS, AGO, DPK, LPG).
    • Coordinate logistics, fleet management, and delivery schedules to minimize downtime and losses.
    • Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment.

    Health, Safety & Compliance:

    • Ensure strict compliance with DPR / NMDPRA, SON, and all regulatory requirements.
    • Enforce HSE policies and procedures across all operational sites.
    • Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
    • Ensure environmental and safety standards are maintained at all times.

    Financial & Cost Control:

    • Monitor operational budgets and control costs without compromising service quality.
    • Track fuel losses, pilferage, and wastage and implement corrective measures.
    • Optimize operational efficiency to improve margins and reduce expenses.

    Team Leadership & Supervision:

    • Lead, supervise, and manage operations staff, station managers, drivers, and depot personnel.
    • Develop performance goals and conduct periodic performance reviews.
    • Train and mentor staff to ensure high productivity and compliance.

    Process Improvement & Reporting:

    • Develop and implement SOPs for operational efficiency and accountability.
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operations reports for management.
    • Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.

    Customer & Stakeholder Management:

    • Maintain strong relationships with bulk buyers, transporters, and partners.
    • Ensure timely delivery and high customer satisfaction.
    • Liaise with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders when required.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    •  Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Experience: 7 – 10 years experience in downstream oil & gas operations.
    • Proven experience managing fuel distribution, depot, or retail station operations.
    • Strong knowledge of Nigerian petroleum regulations and safety standards.
    • Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong financial and operational management skills.

    Preferred Candidate Profile:

    • Experienece in oil & gas industry (Downstream).
    • Strong leadership presence and ability to manage field teams.
    • High level of integrity and accountability.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet operational targets.
