    Security Operations Officer

    Job Purpose

    • To support and enforce the security strategy of the transportation company by ensuring the safety of staff, assets, passengers, and facilities through effective security monitoring, reporting, and response operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor daily security operations across company depots, terminals, and transit routes.
    • Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols.
    • Conduct routine and ad-hoc security patrols and spot checks to deter and detect irregular activities.
    • Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV) and respond promptly to security incidents.
    • Assist in the investigation of reported security breaches, theft, vandalism, or misconduct.
    • Liaise with law enforcement agencies and emergency services when required.
    • Ensure access control measures are enforced for all personnel and visitors.
    • Maintain accurate logs of incidents, observations, and follow-up actions.
    • Support emergency preparedness drills and contribute to risk assessments.
    • Recommend security improvements based on trends, threats, or vulnerabilities.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (preferably in Criminology, Security Studies, Social Sciences, or related field).
    • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in corporate or transportation security operations.
    • Knowledge of security equipment and procedures (e.g., CCTV, access control, patrol systems).
    • Strong observational and incident reporting skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure.
    • Good physical condition and alertness.
    • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulatory requirements in the transportation industry is an added advantage.

    Desirable Skills:

    • First aid, fire safety, or health and safety certifications.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for report writing and data entry.
    • Discretion, integrity, and professionalism.

    Internal Auditor - Inventory

    Job Description
    Inventory Auditing, not Finance:

    • Formulate an internal audit plan and calendar, and ensure the implementation of the plan
    • Conduct risk assessments and identify measures in place to mitigate identified risks
    • Review record, verifying entries, evaluating audit trails and checking compliance
    • Supervise the effectiveness and efficiency of the control environment
    • Identify control gaps and opportunities for improvement
    • Perform follow-up work, ensuring management actions progress within agreed timelines and escalate any failure to the senior management
    • Conduct adhoc investigations and reviews
    • Provide advice on internal control and participate in enhancing internal audit standards and practices
    • Implement and maintain an effective risk management framework, including internal control systems and compliance policies, and ensure key risks are covered by appropriate and adequate measures
    • Establish and continuously improve a consistent operating framework for the identification, management, monitoring and reporting of compliance risks and issues
    • Develop valued and value-for-money advice and guidance to business units and management on all compliance issues
    • Develop appropriate and effective control training

    Requirements

    • HND or B.Sc
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001
    • Proven expertise in audit methodology, reporting, and root cause analysis
    • 4-5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the Transportation sector
    • Knowledge of the Nigerian Transportation industry and market, including regulations, standards, etc
