    Secretary to the Director of Education

    Job Summary

    • The Secretary to the Director of Education provides high-level administrative and confidential support to the Director, ensuring the smooth coordination of academic, operational, and strategic activities within the Education Directorate.

    Key Responsibilities
    Administrative Support:

    • Manage the Director’s calendar, appointments, and meeting schedules.
    • Organise meetings, prepare agendas, and take accurate minutes.
    • Handle correspondence (emails, letters, memos) on behalf of the Director.
    • Maintain proper filing systems (electronic and hard copy).

    Communication & Coordination:

    • Serve as liaison between the Director and school heads, staff, parents, and external stakeholders.
    • Coordinate internal communications and follow-up on action points.
    • Track and monitor reports from schools and departments.

    Documentation & Reporting:

    • Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing documents.
    • Collate academic and operational data as required.
    • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive documents and information.

    Office Management:

    • Supervise the Director’s office operations.
    • Manage incoming visitors and official engagements.
    • Support planning and logistics for education-related events and meetings.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Education, or related field.
    • Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience in an executive administrative role (preferably in an educational institution).
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Data Analyst โ€“ Education Technology Integration

    Job Purpose

    • The Data Analyst (Education Technology Integration) will support the Education Department by collecting, analysing, and interpreting educational and operational data to enhance teaching quality, improve student outcomes, and support strategic decision-making.
    • The role focuses on leveraging data and digital systems to monitor performance, evaluate interventions, and improve efficiency across the schools

    Key Responsibilities
    Data Collection and Management:

    • Collect, clean, validate, and manage data from multiple sources, including Student Information Systems (SIS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), assessment platforms, and other digital tools.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on student enrolment, attendance, academic performance, behaviour, and staff-related data.
    • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and confidentiality in line with school policies and Nigerian data protection regulations.

    Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Analyse academic and operational data to identify trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualisations for school leadership, heads of department, and teachers.
    • Track student performance across subjects and key stages to support early identification of learning gaps and intervention strategies.
    • Support the analysis of internal and external examination results.
    • Make recommendations/predictions and data-driven decisions based on data analytics for the improvement of students’, staff and school performance.

    Technology and Academic Support:

    • Work closely with academic staff to embed data-driven practices into teaching and learning.
    • Provide insights to support the evaluation and adoption of educational technologies.
    • Support school improvement planning through evidence-based analysis.
    • Collaboration and Capacity Building
    • Build strong working relationships with teachers, academic leaders, IT staff, and administrators.
    • Train relevant staff on data interpretation, reporting tools, and dashboards.
    • Support inspections, accreditation processes, and regulatory reporting with accurate data.

    Qualifications

    • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years experience.

    Education Technology Specialist

    Job Purpose

    • The Education Technology Specialist will lead the effective integration of digital tools and educational technologies to support teaching, learning, and assessment.
    • The role ensures that technology enhances curriculum delivery, improves student engagement, and builds staff capacity in the use of digital learning platforms.

    Key Responsibilities
    Educational Technology Implementation:

    • Support the selection, implementation, and management of educational technology platforms, including LMS, digital classrooms, and assessment tools.

    • Support the administration and day-to-day operation of LMS, digital assessment tools, and classroom technologies.
    • Work closely with the IT team to ensure system reliability, security, and updates.
    • Troubleshoot basic technical issues related to educational platforms.

    Monitoring and Continuous Improvement:

    • Monitor usage and effectiveness of educational technology tools.
    • Gather feedback from teachers and students to inform improvements.
    • Stay up to date with emerging trends in education technology and digital learning.
