    Account Manager (Healthcare & Education)

    Description

    • As Account Manager, Healthcare & Education, you will lead Arnergy's commercial sales effort within two of Nigeria's most power-critical and socially essential sectors.
    • Hospitals and clinics cannot afford a single minute of unplanned downtime — lives depend on it. Schools and universities need reliable power to run ICT infrastructure, laboratory equipment, and comfortable learning environments.
    • Both sectors are under-served by the national grid and are actively seeking alternatives to expensive, unreliable diesel generation.
    • You will build and convert a pipeline of private healthcare facilities and educational institutions, positioning Arnergy as the most credible, technically capable, and financially accessible solar energy partner in these verticals.

    You will:
    Vertical-Specific Sales & Business Development:

    • Identify and develop new accounts across private hospitals, specialist clinics, diagnostic and imaging centres, pharmaceutical chains, private schools (nursery through to secondary), polytechnics, and private universities.
    • Map power criticality and load profiles within healthcare accounts — theatre, ICU, pharmacy cold chain, laboratory — to build a precise case for solar and battery backup.
    • Map the educational institutional load: ICT labs, admin blocks, hostels, security lighting, and canteens to size appropriately and demonstrate ROI.
    • Engage the right stakeholders: Medical Directors and Hospital Administrators for healthcare accounts; Proprietors, Bursars, and Estate Managers for schools and universities.
    • Leverage healthcare associations and education networks for introductions and referrals.
    • Develop multi-site rollout proposals for healthcare or school chains operating across multiple campuses or locations.

    Solution Scoping & Proposal Development:

    • Work closely with Technical Services to scope systems that meet the uptime requirements, load profiles, and space constraints specific to healthcare and educational facilities.
    • Build financial models showing diesel cost displacement and total cost of ownership, structured to support both outright purchase and financing decision pathways.
    • Prepare and present proposals at executive and board level, including hospital management committees and school proprietorship groups.

    Account Management & Relationship Development:

    • Maintain and grow relationships with decision-makers within your installed account base, ensuring satisfaction, visibility into system performance, and readiness to expand or renew.
    • Proactively engage accounts ahead of warranty expiry, system expansion triggers, or new facility developments.
    • Serve as the primary escalation point for any commercial or service issue within your accounts, coordinating resolution with CX and O&M teams.
    • Generate referrals from satisfied accounts to peer institutions.

    Reporting & Market Intelligence:

    • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly pipeline and revenue reports accurately and on time via Arnergy's reporting platforms.
    • Track sector developments: new hospital developments, school accreditation drives, government healthcare infrastructure projects — and convert them into early-mover prospecting opportunities.

    Requirements and Skills
You'll be a good fit for this role if you have the experience below:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Science, or Engineering.
    • Minimum of 4 years B2B solution or consultative sales experience, with meaningful exposure to healthcare and/or educational institution accounts.
    • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder procurement processes typical of hospitals and academic institutions.
    • Strong commercial instincts and the ability to build financial models and ROI narratives that resonate with Bursars, CFOs, and Medical Directors.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication — proposal writing, formal presentations, and board-level engagement.
    • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales reporting platforms.

We would also like to see:

    • Existing relationships with private hospital groups, diagnostic chains, or school associations.
    • Understanding of solar PV, battery storage, or energy management systems (full technical training will be provided).
    • Experience with asset financing sales models.

    You will:
    Vertical-Specific Sales & Business Development

    • Identify, target, and develop new accounts across commercial office towers, corporate headquarters, business parks, co-working hubs, and mixed-use developments.

    • Target property developers and real estate investment companies to embed Arnergy as the preferred solar partner in new developments at design stage.
    • Engage corporate occupiers directly, particularly professional services firms, banks, telecoms companies, and multinationals with energy cost and ESG reporting mandates.

    Solution Scoping & Proposal Development:

    • Work with Technical Services to scope systems for large commercial buildings: rooftop PV, carport installations, and battery storage for grid/generator backup.
    • Develop financial models covering TCO, diesel displacement, capital expenditure vs. financing options, and payback period — tailored to corporate financial decision frameworks.
    • Prepare and present Board-level proposals and investment papers, adapting technical content for executive and non-technical audiences.
    • Develop multi-building proposals for property groups or facility management companies managing several office sites.

    Account Management & Relationship Development:

    • Manage and grow a portfolio of active office building accounts, maintaining high satisfaction, visibility into system performance, and readiness to expand to additional floors, buildings, or corporate campuses.
    • Proactively engage facility managers and estate companies around planned building upgrades, expansions, or new tenant requirements that could trigger additional energy system needs.
    • Track energy performance data for key accounts and present periodic energy savings reports to reinforce value and identify upsell opportunities.
    • Serve as the primary commercial contact for account escalations, coordinating swiftly with CX, O&M, and Technical teams.

    Reporting & Market Intelligence:

    • Submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly pipeline and revenue reports via Arnergy's CRM.
    • Monitor commercial real estate developments — new office tower completions, building
    • refurbishments, corporate relocations — and convert intelligence into proactive pipeline activity.
    • Report on competitor activity, market pricing trends, and customer objections in the corporate real estate space.

    Requirements and Skills
