    Robotics & Intelligent Automation Engineering Lead (1659)

    Robotics & Intelligent Automation Engineering Lead

    The intelligent automation space covers solutions that integrate business process automation, robotic process automation and cognitive automation using technology capabilities from leading technology providers around the world. KPMG is investing in strengthening intelligent automation capabilities in the region and is looking to hire an Engineering Lead to drive full-cycle development and delivery of robotic and intelligent automation solutions to clients across key industries. Responsibilities of the role include partnering with technology and business teams to sell the value of intelligent automation, delivering innovation in process automation leveraging leading technology solutions, and end-to-end implementation and support of automation solutions for clients.

     Automation Project Delivery

    • Review client processes and technology environment to identify high-value automation opportunities and use cases.
    • Design and build comprehensive automation solutions to realise defined operational efficiency and process improvement targets
    • Lead teams of process analysts, solution architects, automation engineers, change managers in the end-to-end delivery of automation projects spanning: process discovery, design, build and configuration, testing and deployment of bots and automation solutions.
    • Supervise engineering teams by providing design and development input, guidance and necessary quality assurance review of technical deliverables to ensure compliance with established standards and best practices
    • Deploy agile delivery methods to ensure automation projects deliver early value realisation and alignment to clients’ priorities.
    • Provide L1 – L3 post-implementation support to help clients beyond the project life cycle.
    • Assist clients in establishing Automation Centres of Excellence to drive efficient and sustainable enterprise automation practices – continuous improvement, technical support, 1process selection and prioritisation criteria, value realisation tracking and reporting etc.

    Capacity Building

    • Develop and implement robust intelligent automation capacity development plan leveraging proven methodologies and practices. Work with KPMG representatives across offices in the region to implement deploy capacity development initiatives 
    • Develop and enhance existing methodologies and standards for implementing intelligent automation
    • Foster a culture of process optimisation and improvement thinking within the team.

    Sales Support

    • Support the business in identification and conversion of automation opportunities.
    • Develop compelling proposals in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs) from existing and prospective clients
    • Partner with clients on key initiatives to develop opportunities and translate them into executable roadmaps.
    • Develop thought leadership and lead marketing initiatives that help to position KPMG’s Intelligent automation capabilities
    • Drive relevant alliance partnerships with leading automation technology providers.

    Requirements 

    • A minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division from a recognized university
    • A minimum of 5 O’ Level credits at two(2) sittings (including English and Mathematics)
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field
    • 8+ years hands-on engineering experience working with leading automation (e. g. UiPath, Automation Anywhere, BluePrism, Microsoft Power Apps, Pega, TIBCO, Workfusion, ABBYY, Process Maker etc.) 
    • Experienced in architecting robust automation solutions by integrating and extending leading automation technologies with ancillary tools and technologies including - cloud (Azure, AWS), API, OCR, AI/ML, data visualisation, process mining, SQL, Java or JavaScript, .NET, Macros etc.
    • Experienced in leading automation delivery using operational excellence approaches and methods (Lean agile, Scrum delivery, DevOps etc).
    • Ability to document and interpret business requirements and translate same to comprehensive technology design and specification documents
    • Hands-on experience in successfully delivering medium to complex automation projects in at least 2 or 3 industries including financial services.
    • Up to date on emerging technology trends and able to contribute to improvement of KPMG’s intelligent automation services.
    • Hands-on knowledge and training in best-practice automation methodologies, operations assessment, and transformation roadmap and program delivery.
    • Experience supervising medium to large teams with diverse skills, backgrounds, and experiences. Able to break down complex problem statements into simple and practical solutions.
    • Ability to analyse and articulate potential business value from process automation projects
    • Strategic thinker – able to quantify the impact and benefit of automation across dimensions people, process, technology, cost, risk etc. and communicate with diverse business stakeholders
    • Excellent communicator. Able to effectively present ideas, initiatives, and solutions in clear and lucid language to ensure stakeholder buy-in, commitment and adoption.

    ITS Operations Lead

    Responsibilities

    • Active Directory management; group policy creation and assignment; Microsoft Exchange management  
    • Maintaining a scalable and reliable SAN storage network
    • Setting up of new servers including RAID configuration and Windows Server OS installation. 
    • Deployment of Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and 2019 operating systems 
    • Administering Email Services
    • Configuration and deployment of Cisco Routers and Switches. 
    • Knowledge of Microsoft System Configuration Centre Manager (SCCM)
    • Virtual machine management using Microsoft Hyper-V 
    • Management of incremental and full Backup and recovery of critical data using Veritas Backup Exec. 
    • Maintain Disaster Recovery Plan and monitor its implementation
    • Monitor and manage all network devices (physical & virtual servers and active devices)
    • Manage server patch and update deployment
    • Provide Third line support to User support function
    • Coordinate and track all ITS Projects and deployments liaising with deployment teams till completion
    • Provide project coordination and status update to team
    • Draft contract agreement documents for ITS third-party contracts
    • Maintain security of the firm’s IT networks and communication links

    Requirements

    You’re a strong candidate if you have:

    • A minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division from a recognized university
    • A minimum of 5 O’ Level credits within two (2) sittings (including English and Mathematics)
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a relevant field
    • Minimum of 6 years post-NYSC relevant experience 
    • Relevant Microsoft and Cisco or equivalent professional qualification desirable
    • Broad knowledge of current IT development and integration technologies and best practice
