    Resident Veterinary Doctor

    Job Summary

    • Develop and implement poultry health management protocols to maintain optimal flock health and welfare
    • Develop and implement biosecurity protocols to prevent the introduction and spread of diseases within the facility.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Conduct routine medical care, including vaccinations, deworming, and administering medications.
    • Respond to emergencies and provide medical attention to sick or injured birds.
    • Conduct regular health checks and monitor the flock to identify and prevent potential health issues.
    • Conduct diagnostic tests and laboratory analyses to identify and treat illnesses and diseases.
    • Collaborate with external veterinarians to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and to develop treatment plans.
    • Develop and implement biosecurity protocols to prevent disease outbreaks.
    • Maintain accurate records of treatments, medications, and vaccinations.
    • Conduct training sessions for farm staff to promote bird health and welfare.
    • Coordinate with other departments to maintain the health and welfare of the flock.
    • Conduct research and keep up-to-date with the latest developments in poultry health managementt biosecurity protocols to prevent the introduction and spread of diseases within the facility.

    Education

    • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
    • Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the relevant jurisdiction.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 2-5years of experience in poultry veterinary medicine, preferably in a commercial poultry farm setting.
    • Proven track record of managing poultry health and disease control programs.
    • Experience in diagnosing and treating common poultry diseases, injuries, and health issues.
    • Knowledge of biosecurity protocols and best practices for disease prevention and control in poultry farms.
    • Familiarity with vaccination programs, medication administration, and treatment protocols for poultry species.
    • Experience in conducting post-mortem examinations and interpreting laboratory test results.
    • Understanding of poultry nutrition, housing requirements, and environmental management practices.
    • Experience in managing and training farm staff on poultry health and biosecurity protocols.
    • Strong record-keeping and documentation skills, with the ability to maintain accurate health records and reports.
    • Knowledge of relevant regulations, guidelines, and standards governing animal health and welfare in poultry farming.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with farm managers, veterinarians, and other stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions under pressure in a fast-paced farm environment.

    Customer Satisfaction Representative (Day Old Chicks)

    Job Description

    • As a Sales Representative for day-old chicks at Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and fostering relationships with customers in the poultry industry.
    • Your primary responsibility will be to promote and sell our day-old chicks to poultry farmers, distributors, and other relevant stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities
    Sales and Business Development:

    • Actively seek out new customers and business opportunities within the assigned territory.
    • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve and exceed sales targets.
    • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers by providing excellent service and support.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement effective sales strategies and promotional activities.

    Customer Relationship Management:

    • Understand customers' needs and requirements and recommend suitable day-old chick products accordingly.
    • Provide product knowledge and technical support to customers, including information on breeding, genetics, and health management.
    • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.

    Market Intelligence:

    • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
    • Gather feedback from customers and market insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.
    • Provide regular reports on sales activities, market trends, and customer feedback to management.

    Training and Support:

    • Conduct training sessions and workshops for customers on best practices for raising day-old chicks.
    • Offer ongoing support and assistance to customers to ensure the successful rearing of chicks and optimal performance.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the poultry industry.
    • Knowledge of poultry farming practices, genetics, and health management.
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Results-driven with a passion for achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional customer service.
    • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
