    Research & Development Manager - Printing Ink

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and optimize ink formulations for flexo and gravure printing applications, focusing on both water- and solvent-based technologies.
    • Lead new product development projects, from concept through commercialization.
    • Ensure color matching, drying behavior, adhesion, and print performance through rigorous lab testing.
    • Continuously improve manufacturing processes for quality consistency, cost reduction, and efficiency gains.
    • Provide technical service and troubleshooting during customer trials and post-sale support.
    • Supervise lab operations, including raw material testing, quality assurance, and safety standards.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, production, and supply chain teams to align R&D efforts with market needs.

    Requirements

    • Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related fields.
    • 15+ years of hands-on experience in printing ink formulation and technical service, preferably in packaging applications.
    • Deep technical knowledge of resins, pigments, solvents, additives, and formulation strategies.
    • In-depth understanding of printing processes (flexographic, gravure) and press-side application.

    Nice-to-Have:

    • Experience in sustainable formulation trends, including low-VOC and bio-based inks.
    • Understanding of best manufacturing practices, regulatory compliance, and environmental standards.
    • Familiarity with regional and global ink markets and customer expectations.

    Sales & Business Development Manager - HHPC

    What are we looking for?

    • We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and technically competent Sales & Business Development Manager – HHPC to drive the growth and development of our Home Care, Industrial & Institutional and Personal Care solutions / specialty business line in Nigeria.
    • You will spearhead new business initiatives, strengthen key‑account relationships, and deliver sustainable revenue growth through strategic commercial and technical support activities.
    • You will be part of our Sales & Development Team and lead the commercial expansion of our HHPC product lines in Nigeria.
    • We are looking for someone who combines deep formulation know‑how with strong commercial instincts and a proven track record in HHPC markets.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Market Analysis: Conduct detailed assessments of customer needs, competitive dynamics, and regulatory requirements across hospitality, healthcare, food service and facility‑management segments.
    • Commercial Strategy: Design and execute go‑to‑market plans for new detergents, disinfectants, laundry chemistries and specialty cleaning formulations, including field trials, on‑site demos and pilot projects.
    • Account Management: Identify, win and grow strategic accounts—reactivating dormant customers, securing new contracts and expanding share with global chains, local champions and cleaning contractors.
    • Technical Support: Deliver on‑site product training, troubleshooting, SOP development and regulatory guidance (e.g., NAFDAC compliance) for both distributor partners and end‑users.
    • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing to develop technical datasheets, training modules and promotional campaigns; coordinate with supply‑chain and operations to ensure flawless delivery.
    • Industry Engagement: Represent Multichem at trade shows, professional forums and client events to showcase HHPC innovations and build brand recognition.

    Must‑Have

    • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical sales, business development or key‑account management within Home Care, Institutional & Industrial Cleaning or Personal Care sectors.
    • Strong expertise in formulation and application of home care, detergents, laundry and personal care chemistries.
    • Well‑established network within Nigeria’s HHPC industries. 

    Nice‑to‑Have:

    • Experience managing Key Accounts and coordinating Local Champion initiatives.
    • Background with major specialty‑chemicals or industrial‑formulator companies.
    • Certifications or formal training in cleaning‑chemistry applications, ISO quality systems, or regulatory compliance (e.g., NAFDAC processes).
