Job Responsibilities

Requirements

• Registered and licensed midwife with the appropriate regulatory body.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Sound knowledge of maternal and newborn care, emergency obstetric care, and family planning.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and empathetic skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.

Job Summary

• The Medical Officer provides high-quality medical care to patients in line with clinical protocols and guidelines.
• They conduct patient consultations, diagnose and treat illnesses, manage emergencies, and participate in clinical governance activities to ensure safe and effective service deliver.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery
• Valid license to practice from the relevant Medical Council.
• Minimum of 3 years of post Nysc clinical experience.
• Proven clinical competence in general medicine and emergency care.
• Strong diagnostic and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if needed.
