Job Description

• We are searching for a reliable quantity surveyor who will manage the contractual and financial side of our construction projects.
• He/she will manage the costs of construction projects as well as help to ensure that our projects are completed within budget.

Job Duties

• Maintain and implement construction preform/budget for each project.
• Negotiate pricing contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, research new materials for design and cost savings, and develop and implement new purchasing strategies to deliver ongoing cost reductions and process simplification.
• Create scopes of work, forecast upcoming demand and assist in settling invoice or contract disputes, handle change order requests.
• Issue purchase orders for procurement and expedition of materials and equipment for jobs.
• Ensure compliance to project budgets and provide analysis of deviations, ensure accurate takeoffs to ensure budgets are accurate.
• Maintain subcontractor and supplier insurance policies; assist in ensuring awareness and company compliance to all building codes and local construction guidelines assist in maintaining company quality control program.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, establish new relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adequate resources for all projects and continually improve pricing and quality of work; meet subcontractors and suppliers on-site as necessary.
• Leverage technology, safety measures, and information sharing to increase productivity and profitability.
• Maintain sub/supplier information on company online management systems, and manage materials/equipment inventory.
• Negotiate and agree on contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided.
• Process payments and invoices.
• Keep contract files and use them as references for the future.
• Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities.
• Give presentations about market analysis and possible growth.
• Develop a purchasing strategy.
• Produce reports and statistics using computer software.
• Prepares monthly budget for all site works from site requisitions.
• Liaise with all site supervisors and managers.

Qualification and Background

• HND in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Management, or related field.
• 4 years minimum experience post-NYSC.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Sound knowledge of construction.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
• Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
• Teamwork.

Job Description

• We are searching for a Legal Officer whose role will be to oversee the legal aspects of our business and ensure the company strictly follows Nigerian law guidelines and give legal advice to management and clients about all relevant issues.

General Duties

• Draft and/or review legal letters, contracts and agreements, briefs, notices, circulars, correspondence, orders, reports and other legal forms from individuals, companies, government or third parties, as requested, including all our sites.
• Checks documents or papers for compliance and correction.
• Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.
• Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues.
• Liaise with and assist external counsel in the discharge of their obligation.
• File oppositions in matters where the title is being passed or property are being encumbered and there are arrears due and payable to the Company.
• Research and prepare legal opinions on various civil matters including claims for compensation against the Company.
• Work with Accounts on statutory documentation.
• Work with relationship officers on clients’ management, documentations including drafting of Contract Agreements for all our sites and any other sites as instructed.
• To maintain a database of the status of all court matters involving the Company.
• Communicate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), creating relations of trust
• Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company’s fulllegal rights, as soon as the agreement/contract has been established.
• To register land and/or property documents with government parastatals such as Lands Bureau, Physical Planning and Urban Development (PPUD).
• Submit weekly/quarterly reports on targets achieved together with an appraisal report to the corporate affairs manager.

Responsibilities

• To take accurate minutes of Bi-weekly staff meetings and unit meetings or with the Directors.
• Attend meetings and ensure briefs are well documented.
• Ensure the filing in the cabinet of all client’s files with the requisite details and keep account of them all.
• Open new files for new clients and ensure proper documentation.
• Follow up on client for requisite documents for purchase.
• Checks documents or papers for compliance and correction.
• Source for and provide the current position on any legal issue that arises in the organization within 24 hours.
• Send minutes and action points arising from the staff meeting to all staff within 24 hours after the close of the meeting.
• Read and prepare contracts/agreements and send necessary comments to Corporate Affairs within 12 hours
• Come up with staff meeting agenda and assist Real Estate team in event planning as directed.
• Attend to land issues such as drafting of the contract of sale, assignments, memorandum of understanding, etc.
• Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company’s fulllegal rights.
• Register land and/or property documents with government parastatals such as Lands Bureau, Physical Planning and Urban Development (PPUD).

Requirements

About the Job

• We are searching for a creative and inspired Architect who will plan, develop and implement building designs.
• He or she will be responsible for developing and presenting design proposals, preparing drawings, specifications, budgets, and construction documents and managing project teams.

Job Duties

• To be responsible for the inspection of a project from inception to completion and to work with other professionals in the building construction industry.
• Produce detailed workings, drawings and specifications from a given architectural sketch.
• To be responsible for the preparation of highly detailed working and specifications using software such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD) applications; AutoCAD, 3DMax, Lumion, Revit, Sketch-Up, etc.
• To be responsible for the preparation of approval drawings for submission for statutory approvals, building approvals and planning permissions.
• Work closely with a team of other professionals such as building service engineers, construction managers, quantity surveyors, architectural technologists and consultants.
• An occasional visit to sites to ensure compliance with architectural drawings, details and finishing.
• To be responsible for the production of detailed floor plans, site plans, elevations, sections, doors and window schedules, etc.
• To deliver complete architectural drawings, and design within 7 days for complex projects and 24hrs for simple projects after being issued a sketch.
• To produce reports for every site visited within 48hrs of visit and to ensure availability of architectural drawings on every construction site.
• To relate approved changes, alterations and corrections to design to the Project Managers or Line Managers within 24hrs.

Job Requirements

• Degree or HND in Architecture or a related field.
• 4 years of experience post-NYSC
• Previous experience as an architect preferred.
