Job Description

• Hands on experience in welding, steel fabrication and erection
• Oversee inspection of incoming materials, ensuring that they meet requirements.
• Manage the monitoring, measurement and review of internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the organization’s products
• Responsible for accuracy and timely inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring devices.
• Control material consumption on production floor
• Keep up on standards, regulations/laws, issues and news with respect to product(service) quality
• Ensure that manufacturing process comply with the organization’s standards

Requirements

• Minimum HND / B.Tech / B.Sc in Engineering
• 3-5 related Years’ experience as QAQC ENGINEER in Steel Fabrication Industry
• Welding certificate is a plus
• Must reside in IKOTUN or its environs

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper planning of materials and production operations to meet the delivery schedule on time.
• Check production output according to specifications.
• Ensuring welding parameters such as Amperage, voltage, Gas flow, as specified by WELDING ENGINEER or SOPs.
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications, ensure good quality weld bead
• Identify issues in efficiency and recommend production efficiency improvement.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities/Qualifications

• Minimum BSc/BTech/HND Production Engineering or related course of study
• Proven experience as Production Assistant or similar role
• 2-3 related Years’ experience in steel fabrication

Generic Skills:

• Advanced skills in interpret Drawings, Time management, MS Office
• Blueprint reading
• Extensive knowledge of various welding techniques including TGI welding. Oxy welding, arc welding.
