    Protected Species Observer II

    Main Functions

    • Take Observations of marine mammals and other protected species during survey operations.
    • Documents observation effort, sightings or acoustic detections in Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) or other approved format.
    • Monitors permit or other environmental restrictions and calls for shutdown of survey operations when limiting conditions are reached.

    Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for verifying that vendors and their subcontractors adhere to permit requirements, project plans, and industry standards
    • Responsible for communicating Technical, Operational and SSH&E concerns and issues to Client's Lead QC to ensure project proceeds according to Company standards
    • Responsible for monitoring the occurrence and location of protected species relative to the field equipment and coordinating with vendor personnel whilst in the work area.
    • Responsible for oversight of vendors operations and collection of effort and protected species or other observational data and reports

    Requirements
    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Completion of recognized PSO training course appropriate to observational equipment proposed, species expected and jurisdiction of the work site (absent of other guidance PSO’s should be trained in accordance with latest published JNCC standards.  In the event that passive acoustic monitoring is proposed PAM operators shall have attended a recognized training course for the equipment and software used and at least one shall hold a bachelors or higher degree in bioacoustics or related science)
    • Field experience as a PSO; ExxonMobil experience preferred
    • Experience in the collection of environmental samples and data who has knowledge of sampling, testing, and classification techniques, industry SSH&E standards, environmental sampling equipment, operations, company reporting requirements, and an awareness of company operation integrity management system (OIMS) procedures
    • Must be well versed in SSH&E practices and processes for field operations
    • Must have excellent communication skills, possess high level of integrity, and willingness to build trust and accountability in inter-personal relationships while working in team setting
    • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English • Must be proficient in current communication mediums and technologies (i.e., Microsoft Office, telecommunications, email, meetings)
    • Must be in good physical condition and shall comply with all project health and safety requirements (including any vendor, vessel or country-specific certifications required to work offshore)
    • Must comply with requirements of company drug and alcohol and infectious disease prevention programs.
    • Certifications must be current and not due to expire for the anticipated duration of the project

    Head, Engineering

    Job Purpose

    • The incumbent reports to the GM OPS and is responsible for overseeing & co-coordinating all OVHEM & ASPM Engineering functions; including the design, construction and maintenance of Architectural and Engineering structures, Terminals, Retail Outlet, VMIs & other installations.
    • In addition, the Head Engineering is responsible for end-to-end cycle of Engineering Projects and Services Policy articulation in line with the strategic imperatives of the organization, identification and analysis of the technical business support needs and overall effective management of all Engineering activities.
    • The position incumbent has the on-site supervisory responsibility of ensuring hitch free Retail, VMIs and Terminal operational activities at all locations nationwide through effective formulation of Maintenance Policy / strategy plus technical guidance to the Projects, Technical Services & Maintenance teams with prompt Engineering Project delivery.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities

    • Formulate policies and procedure for process control and utilization of company Facilities and Equipment
    • Ensure that the service delivery of Projects, Technical Services & Maintenance units meet agreed standards and that agreed customer satisfaction levels are achieved.
    • Ensure that all Managers and Unit heads / Engineers within the Department have agreed objectives, performance reviews, coaching and appraisals.
    • Prepare, agree and manage the operating budget for the Engineering Department.
    • Understand future business needs, prepare and implement Engineering Department strategy to meet those needs
    • Responsible for the liaison with all of the internal customers to agree service deliverables.

    • Engineering Supply Chain Management
    • Oversight responsibility for the end-end life cycle of all projects and activities
    • Conducts Standards Checks in Retail Outlets, VMIs Terminals & Jetties. Checks should cover EHSQ, inspections as well as supervision adequacy.
    • Ensures Reports of Controls & Standards Checks are timely submitted within and all actions followed up with action parties until they are closed.
    • Ensures pending actions that have failed deadline are escalated to concerned GM OPS

    Job Requirements
    Academic Qualification & Work Experience:

    • Minimum of First Degree in Engineering (2.2)
    • Professional membership is an advantage
    • Must be a Registered Engineer (NSE & COREN or equivalent)
    • Minimum of 12 years’ experience in oil and gas downstream engineering projects and maintenance, at least 2 of which must be in a managerial capacity or equivalent role in a reputable organization.
    • Must have proven direct participation in FEED and execution for at least 2 major engineering projects valued at min. N200m each.

    Legal Counsel - DW Asset (Strategy & Business)

    Description
    Service Purpose:

    • To provide legal advice and support to the Company, in particular, the Deepwater Asset, Security Division, Strategic Planning & Performance and Business Development Departments in order to minimise the risks inherent in the Company’s transactions.

    Accountabilities & Key Activities
    Defence & Promotion of Company’s interests:

    • Undertake legal research on issues arising in the course of the Company’s operations relating to the Deepwater Asset, Security Division, Strategic Planning & Performance, and Business Development Departments.
    • Prepare and review agreements with counterparties considering regulatory requirements, Company’s policies, and existing commitments with third parties.
    • Participate in negotiations and provide legal guidance to the Company in transactions with counterparties.

    Legal Advice & Support:

    • Analyse legal risks / impact of ongoing and potential transactions in respect of the Deepwater Asset, Security Division, Strategic Planning & Performance and Business Development Departments and advocate appropriate mitigation measures.
    • Assist the Contract Engineers to adapt existing contract templates to align with evolving regulatory and administrative requirements.
    • Advise the Company on compliance with laws and regulations governing its activities in order to limit potential liabilities.

    Dispute Resolution Management:

    • Attend court / arbitrations and liaise with external counsel on matters involving the Company in respect of the Deepwater Asset, and as may be assigned by the Legal Manager, Deepwater Asset, Strategy & Business.
    • Review processes (litigation / arbitration) and collate the Company’s response in dispute resolution matters in a professional manner and appropriately advance the interest of the Company.
    • Discuss with external counsel on strategy to be adopted in the prosecution of claims by the Company and defence of claims against the Company.

    Context and Environment:

    • Legal Counsel located in the Deepwater Asset.
    • Work covers the Deepwater Asset, Security Division, Strategic Planning & Performance and Business Development Departments, and other departments and tasks as may be assigned by the Legal Manager, Deepwater Asset, Strategy & Business/ General Counsel.
    • Focal point for the Legal Department in negotiations with other companies.

    Job Requirements

    • LL.B, B.L with 5 to 7 years post-call to bar experience, 3 of which must be experience in a law firm or commercial environment.
