    Procurement Specialist

    About the Role

    • The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing high-quality materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects, facility operations, hospitality management, office etc. The role ensures cost-effective procurement, timely delivery, supplier compliance, and alignment with the company’s PPPs and operational objectives.

    Job Responsibilities

    Procurement & Sourcing

    • Ensure that transactions are processed in compliance with Cruxstone’s Procurement policy to meet specific organizational requirements
    • Identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers who can provide required quality goods/service at the most competitive price, at the right time and to the right location to bring about significant savings.
    • Monitor suppliers’ performance to ensure high quality of goods/service and timely delivery.
    • Ensures that favorable commercial terms; conditions of purchase, warranties, after sale support services are negotiated and agreed with suppliers.
    • Issue RFI/RFQ/RFP to suppliers and ensure to receive responses at the required time.
    • Prepare analysis of quotations/bids within Timelines/SLA for approval
    • update the weekly procurement dashboard
    • Request and analyze quotations, proposals, and tenders to ensure competitive pricing and value for money.
    • Maintain an up-to-date vendor database and build strong supplier relationships.

    Contract & Negotiation

    • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery conditions/terms, and contract agreements.
    • Prepare purchase agreements and procurement documentation in line with company PPPs.
    • Ensure supplier compliance with contract terms and performance expectations.

    Purchase Order Management

    • Prepare, process, and track purchase orders (POs).
    • Convert PRs to POs in line with agreed SLA
    • Monitor order status to ensure on-time delivery of materials and services.
    • Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, shortages, or product quality concerns.

    Cost & Budget Control

    • Work with end users and finance teams to ensure purchases align with project budgets.
    • Identify opportunities for cost reduction to drive savings and procurement process improvement.
    • Track procurement expenses and prepare periodic cost reports.

    Quality Assurance & Compliance

    • Ensure all purchased materials meet required specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct supplier performance evaluations and audits.
    • Comply with company procurement policies and industry best practices.

    Education and Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
    • Completion of NYSC program.
    • Relevant Professional Certification like CIPS would be an added advantage
    • 4–5+ years of procurement experience

    Competencies and Skills

    • High level of integrity and ability to use good judgement
    • Detailed and pays attention to details
    • Understanding of best procurement practices
    • Knowledge of construction materials, real estate operations, and supply chain processes
    • Understanding of Building material market
    • Ability to multi-task and provide results within limited timelines
    • Ability to work with and manage Suppliers and End users
    • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
    • Good reporting and presentation skills
    • good oral and written communication skills
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Applications

    Head of Procurement

    About the Role

    • The Head of Procurement leads the procurement strategy and oversees all sourcing and purchasing operations across the business (Group). This role ensures the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of construction materials, equipment, subcontracted services, works, facility management, hospitality management, office supplies, corporate procurement needs etc. The Head of Procurement drives supplier performance, mitigates supply risks, Ensures and strengthens compliance with the Procurement policy, ensures high-quality goods/services (standards) and supports real estate development projects.
    • The Head of Procurement is to ensure smooth running of importation process in line with the Nigerian Customs requirements when necessary. Imported goods would be, but not limited to building materials.

    Job Responsibilities

    Strategic Leadership

    • Develop and implement the company’s procurement strategy aligned with corporate goals
    • Design processes and procedures to implement the Procurement policy
    • Lead long and short-term sourcing plans for major development projects and operations
    • Ensure that transactions are processed in compliance with Cruxstone’s Procurement policy to meet specific organizational requirements.
    • Ensure a smooth implementation of Cruxstone’s Procurement PPPs across the business for the procurement of goods and service.

    Team Management & Development

    • Supervise and mentor procurement and supply chain teams
    • Conduct performance reviews and strengthen team capacity
    • Liaise with other departments to understand their requirements upfront for proper planning
    • Foster collaboration across departments

    Supplier Management & Negotiation

    • Identify, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers/contractors in line with the company Policy.
    • Lead negotiations of all transactions and contracts
    • Monitor supplier performance and enforce compliance for increased productivity (supplier evaluation).

    Procurement Operations Oversight

    • Ensure that sourcing, tendering, bid evaluations, and contract awards are done in a professional manner.
    • Ensure that Purchase requisitions are converted to Purchase orders in line with agreed SLA
    • Where required, ensure all regulatory and shipping document (in line with Nigerian Customs requirement) are proactively processed to ensure goods are cleared within the shortest possible time, without incurring demurrage
    • Ensure materials, equipment, and services meet project specifications
    • Resolve escalated procurement or supply chain issues timely

    Budget & Cost Optimization

    • Develop procurement budgets and optimize spending
    • Lead cost-saving initiatives and supplier consolidation
    • Ensure compliance with financial controls

    Contract & Risk Management

    • Review and ensure execution of all major procurement contracts
    • Identify supply risks and implement mitigation strategies
    • Enforce compliance with legal and quality standards

    Reporting & Data Management

    • Maintain procurement records and dashboards.
    • Submission of updated weekly procurement dashboard to the CPO
    • Present procurement performance reports to senior management as required.
    • Ensure full integration of procurement process on ERP and ensure usage to enhance efficiency
    • Provide regular progress and status reports to stakeholders on status of transaction
    • Provide monthly procurement update at the management meetings

    Qualifications

    Education and Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
    • Master’s degree preferred
    • Completion of NYSC program.
    • Relevant Professional Certification like CIPS would be an added advantage
    • 10–12+ years of procurement experience, with at least 4 years in leadership
    • Real estate or construction industry experience is highly preferred

    Competencies and Skills

    • High level of integrity and ability to use good judgement

    • Good knowledge of importation processes and required documents
