    Procurement Officer

    Job Summary

    • Evaluating suppliers, maintaining relationships, approving products, and ensuring the cost-effective procurement of materials, parts, or goods.

    Duties / Responsibilities

    • Develop and Implement a Robust Procurement Policy and Procedure.
    • Establish re-order levels for Consumables and procedures for making and filing requisitions to ensure uninterrupted hospital operations
    • Establish a Centralized Stockkeeping Repository for all Hospital consumables and Procurement.
    • Undertake periodic stocktaking and stock counts across all the Hospital locations reconciling, discrepancies and identifying obsolete or slow-moving inventory items for proper disposal or replacement.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and industry standards in procurement processes.
    • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, vendor contracts and related documentation.
    • Keep an updated Register of approved Vendors/Suppliers in respect of all Hospital suppliers including developing a supplier onboarding procedure.
    • Identify and maintain a strong network of reliable and quality-driven suppliers/vendors. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
    • Develop and implement a procurement budget, forecasting procurement needs and monitoring purchases to ensure strict adherence to approved budget.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate competitive pricing and implement cost effective procurement strategies.
    • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile invoices, resolve payment discrepancies and ensure proper documentation for audit purposes.

    Educational Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
    • At least 4 years of experience in procurement.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Candidate must have experience in sourcing, vendor management, and buying too.
    • A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies.
    • Must have very good analytical skills
    • Must be focused on order fulfillment and not just on placing orders with suppliers
    • Strong negotiation skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Understand the business of procurement (Sourcing)
    • Sound time-management and organizational skills.
    • Good understanding of margins when pricing
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

    Pharmacy Technician

    Job Summary

    • The Pharmacy Technician maintains pharmacy inventory by tracking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipts and removing outdated drugs.

    Duties / Responsibilities

    • Process prescriptions, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all information.
    • Ensure medication availability by disbursing and ensuring the coordinated delivery of medications to patients/customers.
    • Manage the pharmacy inventory, anticipating needed medications and supplies in line with Just-In-Time Inventory management practices (JIT)
    • Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
    • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.

    Educational Qualifications and Experience

    • Candidates should possess an OND in Pharmacy or Pharmacology.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in community pharmacy
    • Completion of a pharmacy technician certification program or equivalent work experience.

    Required Skills /Abilities:

    • Conversant with code of ethics of the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria
    • Knowledge of pharmacy terminologies, calculations, and procedures.
    • A strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude that requires minimal supervision
    • Fluent English with excellent writing, verbal, analytical, and organizational skills
    • Works effectively as a team member and promotes collaboration
    • Appreciation for the importance of Pharmacovigilance compliance in pharma industry
    • Multi-tasker and have the ability to work under pressure with little supervision.
    • Computer literate.

    Pharmacist Intern

    Job Summary

    • Responsible for providing excellent customer service and assisting Full-Time Pharmacist in medication preparation, inventory management, and other assigned tasks.

    Duties / Responsibilities

    • Assisting licensed pharmacists with dispensing medications.
    • Verifying prescriptions for accuracy and completeness.
    • Counseling patients on medication usage and potential side effects.
    • Maintaining pharmacy records and inventory.
    • Compounding medications as required.
    • Collaborating with healthcare professionals.
    • Adhering to legal and ethical pharmacy standards.
    • Keeping up to date with pharmaceutical knowledge.
    • Ensuring the safe storage and handling of medications.
    • Providing excellent customer service.

    Education and Experience

    • Intern Pharmacist must have completed a Doctor of Pharmacy or equivalent Pharmacy accredited institution.
    • Intern Pharmacist need to obtain the necessary licenses or registrations required by their specific jurisdiction or country pharmacy board.
    • Intern Pharmacists often work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist while gaining practical experience.

    Required Skills / Abilities:

    • You need to have a Degree in Pharmacy, such as a Bachelor of Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
    • You need to be licensed as an intern Pharmacist.
    • Demonstrating professionalism, ethics, and adherence to regulations is essential
