    Procurement Officer

    Position Summary

    • The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing quality goods and services in line with organizational policies and budgets.
    • The role ensures timely supply of materials, cost-effectiveness, compliance with regulations, and the maintenance of reliable supplier relationships.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement effective procurement plans in line with company needs.
    • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to secure the best prices, quality, and delivery terms.
    • Prepare purchase orders and contracts, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations.
    • Conduct regular market surveys to stay updated on price trends, suppliers, and new products.
    • Maintain and update supplier databases, records, and documentation.
    • Monitor deliveries, resolve supply issues, and ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
    • Collaborate with finance, operations, and other departments to forecast procurement needs.
    • Ensure adherence to ethical procurement standards and compliance with all statutory requirements.
    • Track procurement expenditures and report on cost savings and supplier performance.
    • May require traveling for supplier visits, meetings, or inspections.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • NCE / ND Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience in procurement or supply chain management.
    • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of procurement software is an advantage.
    • Good understanding of procurement regulations, policies, and best practices.
    • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.

    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage supplier relationships.
    • Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
