    Primary ICT & Computing Teacher

    Job Description
    Part-Time Primary ICT & Computing Teacher (3 Months Maternity Cover):

    • We are a nursery and primary school in Ibadan, committed to delivering high-quality education within the framework of the British Primary Curriculum.
    • We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Part-Time Primary ICT & Computing Teacher, to cover a three-month period of maternity leave.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging ICT and Computing lessons in line with the British Primary Curriculum, including more advanced areas such as coding with Scratch and understanding algorithms.
    • Foster pupils’ confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills through the use of technology.
    • Assess, monitor, and record pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual learning.
    • Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold its values and ethos.

    Qualification, Experience and Skills Required

    • Must be resident in Ibadan and live within commuting distance of Jericho, Ibadan
    • Minimum qualification required is B.sc./HND in Computer Science
    • A minimum of three years’ proven experience in primary teaching, preferably within an international curriculum
    • A strong commitment to delivering high standards of teaching and learning
    • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
    • Genuine enthusiasm for working with young learners and supporting their educational development

    Job Summary
    Early Years Educator – Toddler (15 months+):

    • We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Early Years Educator to join our team, working with toddlers aged 15 months and above.
    • This is a rewarding opportunity to nurture children at a crucial stage of their growth—helping them build confidence, independence, and essential life skills within the EYFS framework.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities across the EYFS curriculum.
    • Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
    • Support toddlers with feeding, hygiene, and toileting routines, encouraging independence.
    • Observe, record, and assess children’s development to contribute to individual learning journeys.

    Qualification, Experience and Skills Required

    • Must be resident in Ibadan with the ability to easily commute to Jericho, Ibadan
    • A degree in Early Childhood Education from a reputable university
    • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in early childhood education. Knowledge of the British Curriculum and EYFS is highly desirable; however, candidates with proven experience in childcare who are eager to apply EYFS principles will also be considered
    • Strong knowledge of the EYFS and child development in the 15-month+ age range
    • Excellent command of English (spoken, written, and reading)
    • A professional, caring, and safety-conscious approach to childcare
    • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual children
    • Confident in engaging children through play-based learning, extending their social, emotional, and educational development
    • Skilled in creating stimulating classroom and outdoor activities that promote independence and exploration
    • Ability to produce and maintain high-quality, age-appropriate displays in the learning environment
    • Clear understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and health & safety in early years settings

    • TRCN certification is highly desirable and will be considered an added advantage
    • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a disciplined, respectful, and focused learning environment
    • Proven excellence in teaching core subjects—English, Mathematics, and Science—alongside the ability to effectively deliver a broad range of primary-level subjects, tailored to meet diverse learner needs
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email, with confident application in day-to-day teaching and administration
    • Able to adopt and model the school’s handwriting scheme, demonstrating clear, legible, and consistent writing
    • Excellent command of spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
    • Highly organised, with the ability to plan, deliver, and maintain well-structured lessons and create high-quality classroom displays
    • Maintains consistently high expectations for pupil behaviour, academic progress, and overall achievement
    • Demonstrates a solid understanding of assessment methods, learner tracking systems, and providing effective feedback
    • Clear knowledge of safeguarding procedures, with a commitment to upholding best practices in pupil welfare and protection
    • Well-versed in effective teaching methodologies, and committed to continuous professional development and improvement
    • Willingness to follow the school’s curriculum, using only approved lesson materials and schemes of work
