Objectives

• In conjunction with the Technical Manager, help to ensure the smooth running of the hotel's plumbing installations

Job Description

• Carries out occasional repair work as required
• Prevents problems from occurring in the hotel's plumbing installations
• Follows the preventive maintenance programme as communicated by the Technical Manager
• Ensures all water systems are at maximum efficiency
• Applies water hygiene procedures
• Responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other materials used for water distribution and waste water disposed in the building
• Communicates and cooperates with own department and all the other departments
• Respects Accor's Legionnaires' disease directive
• Applies the hotel's security regulations (in case of fire etc.)
• Respects the hotel's commitments to the "Environment Charter" (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc.)
• Actively contributes to the safety of people and property (ensuring safety exits remain clear of obstruction etc.).

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an SSCE / OND / HND / B.Sc Degree in Electrical Engineering or any other engineering course
• Minimum of SSCE / GCE / NECO or any relevant degree
• Trainings and certifications in plumbing or maintenance management
• Minimum of 2 years work experience as a plumber in a reputable hotel or organization
• Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems
• Ability to work well and without supervision
• Ability to work over extensive time periods
• Ability to respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
• Excellent listening and communication skills.

Objectives

• To organize and sell bar services to guests
• To ensure that the point of sale is well managed
• Provides a friendly and personal welcome for guests and remains attentive to their needs
• Promotes the bar offer
• Establishes good relations with guests, offering advice and fostering customer loyalty
• Knows all the bar and menu products (beverage technical guidelines)
• Manages the stocks and setup for the bar in line with brand standards
• Serves guests at the bar, organizing his/her work to suit fluctuations in numbers
• Ensures the equipment used remains in good condition
• Applies the procedures for opening and closing a point of sale
• Offers detailed advice to guests on all the services provided by the hotel
• Promotes the bar's special offers, cocktails and full range of products

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an SSCE / OND / HND / B.Sc Degree in Hospitality / Hotel Management
• Certification or training in bartending
• Well versed in state drinking laws, basic bar terminology and drink mixology
• 1 - 2 years experience as a bartender in any hospitality outlet
• Good interpersonal skills and self-confidence
• Guest oriented and service minded, with attention to quality
• Good sales skills
• Knowledge of drink presentation and garnishing
• Ability to work effectively and in an organized manner while maintaining hygiene
• Proficiency in the use of micros and other programs.

Objectives

• The Information Technology Manager is responsible for installing and maintaining computer hardware, software and networks.
• Ensures that all IT related issues of guests and internal clients are resolved in a timely manner and that the hotel’s IT systems are in good working conditions at all times.
• Manages the hotel’s Voice (telephone), MATV(DSTV), CCTV, PA(Public address) Systems
• Responsible for all the systems backups, archiving and disaster recovery; and provides expert support on all IT related issues
• Manages and develops the hotel’s data (internet) systems
• Must be familiar with all hardware; software and network operating system
• Provide orientation to new users of existing technology
• Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system
• Programs the room rates on the display monitor at the reception and the totem signage at the front gate of the hotel.
• Acts as a support person for Opera and Micros and liaises with the Opera and Micros consultants if there is a problem
• Oversees the programming of all TVs
• Maintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance
• Advise staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status
• Changing of the hotel’s Internet password twice a month
• In charge of the audio- visual system, telephones and the conference monitor during conferences.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or Information Technology or in any other related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT in any leading hotel or organization
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team player, self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision
• Proficiency in the use of the computer and application programs
• Ability to work as part of a team.
