    Pack / Rau Implementation Lead

    Key Outputs and Responsibilities
    Manage the RAU / Pack Implementation Category:

    • Manage and develop the country RAU / Pack category spend and drive continuous improvement of operations
    • Lead team members in accordance with the ABI 10 principles to support the organization's overall leadership focus on performance and talent management, values, price & performance management and self-management practices
    • Facilitate intra-category and inter-country collaboration of Local Category Managers and Regional Category Managers & Global Category Directors
    • Assess impact within the Country of changing global and Zone Procurement policies and impact of locally changing requirements, including legislation and policies
    • Position/escalate Country specific Procurement requirements on a Zone level including changes of local legislations and policies
    • Actively support roll-out of Global and Zone Procurement development initiatives within the Country
    • Support strong and robust Procurement infrastructure aimed at optimizing transactional purchasing activities, aligned with BU, Zone and Global infrastructure
    • Promoting sustainable development initiatives throughout Procurement
    • Develop and monitor the Procurement budget in the Country in alignment with the BU Procurement Director; overseeing financial well-being thereof by analyzing cost effectiveness and directing cost control activities; preparing, submitting and justifying budget enhancement requests and profit forecast; lead work on mitigation plans when/if purchase price variances against budget occur
    • Support the local business customer in setting up their plans, budgets and strategies
    • Ensure execution of the Zone yearly action plan to improve the Procurement Function at Country level, and monitor and control savings plan for the BU.

    Support Global/Zone category strategy development and initiative execution:

    • Coordinate resource allocation to support Global / Zone initiatives on a Country level
    • Lead and support strategic sourcing activities within Nigeria
    • Act as a change agent in leading implementation of new global Procurement initiatives.

    Support global/Zone category execution by leading contract implementation & driving contract compliance:

    • Act as facilitator between Global and Zone Category Managers and Procurement Specialists in order to ensure local implementation of new contracts
    • Coordinate contract implementation of major contracts with Procurement Specialists and users
    • Follow-up on contract compliance; define and take corrective actions to improve contract compliance, supported by RPSS.

    Manage supplier relationships on Country level:

    • In line with defined Procurement strategy, support the classification and categorization of suppliers, including definition of supplier evaluation and audit policies
    • Continuously track supplier performance (utilizing data / reports provided by the Sourcing Analyst)
    • Lead or support supplier development activities such as setting up cross functional review meetings with suppliers in order to improve performance and further reduce costs in alignment with the Zone and Global Category team
    • Initiate and conduct supplier performance review meetings to define improvement plans and follow-up on execution (as part of on-going operation);
    • Identify potential contract improvement opportunities and re-negotiations, in alignment with Zone and Global Procurement Managers, internal customers and BU stakeholders.

    Manage Internal Customer relationships and Satisfaction on Country Level:

    • Represent the Procurement function at local in-country governance forums
    • Manage relationship with RPSS, review RPSS performance, KPIs and SLAs and agree on joint improvement actions
    • Develop and maintain effective strategic relationships with key internal customers and stakeholders
    • Manage internal customer feedback on Procurement organisation & supplier performance
    • Reinforce and promote implementation of best practices to ensure end users are following prescribed buying channels for all materials and services
    • Within the framework of the cross functional sourcing and supplier development teams, closely develop and manage the relationship with internal customers
    • Proactively organise engagements with internal customers to identify further Total Cost of Ownership reduction opportunities, in alignment with Zone and Global Category Teams
    • Improve and reinforce Procurement’s profile and recognition within the internal customer Community.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Academic background: University / Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Commerce or Quantitative Economics or Procurement or other relevant disciplines; or a relevant combination of formal qualifications and additional specialized study; a recognized qualification in Procurement would be considered an asset.
    • Experience: Experience within Procurement is preferable however not a requirement, minimum 3 years work experience.
    • Language skills: Proficiency in English essential.

    Unit Manager

    Job Description

    • The key purpose of this position is to manage Packaging shift operations as the Line Business Manager. Accountable for all aspects of line performance - i.e. safety, quality, environmental compliance, finance, production plan, efficiency, losses and waste

    Key outputs and responsibilities:

    • Responsible for safety of all line employees
    • Manage PPE compliance and has the authority to take action against non compliance
    • Responsible for Machine safe practices, PTW , LOTO and SAM
    • Responsible for quality packaged product delivered to the warehouse
    • Ensure all quality processes are complied to by the shift operations
    • Ensure problem solving for Out of Control processes
    • Responsible for the Line Dream, KPI and strategy and plan to achieve it
    • Responsible for the deployment and sustainability of the applicable VPO Pillars / Blocks in the line
    • Responsible for MCRS execution on his/her line and for Team Leaders (across all shifts) to follow their Management Check Lists and Agendas of the Routine
    • Accountable for sustainable Problem Solving: problem identification and diagnosis, use of and quality of 5W, Abnormality Reports, PDCAs, and other VPO problem solving tools by the Line Teams.
    • Continuous improvement and GOPs execution.
    • Accountable for proper design and utilization of VPO supporting infrastructure (e.g., Line Team room, communication and line performance visualization, operators workstations, etc.) to drive results
    • Responsible for defining/validating line production strategy, changeovers strategy and execution, corrective and preventive maintenance, startup/shutdown and modulation
    • Accountable for the deployment and effectiveness of Autonomous Teams structures across all shifts
    • Maintenance and Reliability: Knowledge of the Maintenance Backlog, validation of priorities with Packaging Reliability and Maintenance owner; review quality of Work Orders execution
    • Accountable for the deployment and effectiveness of Autonomous Teams structures across all shifts
    • Responsible for Line core team training and development, training gap analysis, training strategy
    • Accountable for People Engagement in the line and driving "meaningful jobs" (i.e., removing mundane, low-skill tasks from operators & technicians

    Machine Specialist - Packaging

    Key outputs and responsibilities:

    • Amongst other duties, the job holder will be responsible for the following:

    OPERATIONL SUPPORT

    • Provide specialist support to the shift based teams during operations.
    • Assist as functional expert in problem solving.
    • This must be undertaken in support of the Process Artisan Where requested, provide guidance and advice to the shift based teams on mechanical equipment, mechanical fault-finding and correct responses to mechanical failure modes 

    PLANNED MAINTENANCE

    • Take part in maintenance planning meeting, contributing suggestions and clarifying work required
    • Carry out work during the planned maintenance window in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule issued by the planner 
    • Partake in maintenance post mortems to feedback problems, opportunities and learnings from maintenance activities

    ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

    • Partake in cleaning, lubrication and inspection in accordance with the maintenance schedule issued by the Maintenance Planner
    • Carry out routine maintenance activities in accordance with the maintenance schedule
    • Where problems have been uncovered during routine maintenance, these must be resolved using the appropriate problem solving techniques. 

    RUNNING REPAIRS

    • On request, partake in carrying out running repairs on plant and equipment, or support the Shift Artisans in carrying out repairs
    • When carrying out repairs, assess the problem and determine a course of action 
    • Complete the administration tasks relating to any running repairs that the Technician has carried out as per SAP requirements

    PROBLEM SOLVING

    • Where problems have occurred during routine activities, apply the correct problem-solving approach to resolve
    • Where required, call in additional resources to assist in problem solving or escalate to the Engineering Controller for direction
    • Assist fellow team members to resolve problems on request Take part in FFA's on request

    IMPROVEMENT

    • Improve SWI's, SOP's and maintenance tasks on an ongoing basis as issues arise to ensure that the loop is closed out to prevent issues arising.

    HOUSEKEEPING AND SAFETY

    • Always operate in a safe manner, identify and highlight unsafe work practices so that these may be corrected
    • Carry out work according to the work instructions and adhere to appropriate ABInBev policies and procedures
    • Carry out housekeeping tasks, and apply 4S principles during the execution of duties

    Education

    • Minimum of HND/B.Eng or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering

    Experience

    • Minimum of 3-5 years as Process Artisans or Maintenance Artisan on high speed packing lines
