    Ophthalmologist

    Job Summary

    • This role is responsible for clinical, managerial, financial aspects and clinical governance of the department. The Head of the Ophthalmology Department provides clinical leadership for all eye care delivers specialized eye care and provides expert ophthal advice.

    Key Result Areas (KRA)

    The key result areas of this role are:

    • Renewed glasses if necessary
    • Listen and respond immediately with an appropriate level of concern to all customer issues.
    • Educate and counsel patients on contact lens care, visual hygiene, lighting arrangements and safety factors
    • Communicate with patients regarding surgeries, follow-up care, tests and carry out procedures.
    • Coordinate the delivery of eyewear products to customers according to specified guidelines.
    • Educate patients on how to use the various eye wears especially contact lenses.
    • Advise patients on lens and frame selections.
    • Ensuring of maintenance of the equipment
    • Keeping stock of unit equipment and consumables.

    Education & Experience

    • Minimum academic qualification of a Fellowship Degree at either West African College of Surgeons or National Postgraduate Medical college or relevant qualification.
    • 3 to 5 years relevant work experience preferably in the Health sector.
    • Membership of Nigeria Medical Association
    • Member of ophthalmology society of Nigeria both local and national.
    • Knowledge of the Microsoft office package.
    • Outstanding communication (oral and written), interpersonal and people management skills.
    • Possess high degree of accuracy and attention to details.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
    • 5-7 years Proven work experience as a Recruitment Specialist or similar role.
    • In-depth knowledge of recruitment methods, sourcing techniques, and best practices.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple recruitment projects.
    • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
    • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
    • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
    • Experience in employer branding and recruitment marketing is a plus.

    Nurse Intern

    Job Summary

    • The Nursing officer must have a valid practicing Licensed to carry out the job function of Registered nurses who are often the key monitor of patients' health through observing and assessing their records, symptoms, and reactions to treatment and care.
    • They often have extensive interaction with patients' families as well, guiding and instructing them in aftercare measures.
    • The job function can vary depending on where they are drafted to work and the peculiar needs of the particular patients they care for.

    • Assess and evaluate patients' needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
    • Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
    • Administer over-the-counter and prescribed medications as ordered.
    • Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
    • Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing care.
    • Exhibiting good working relationship with doctors, pharmacist, billing unit, front desk, health visitors, social workers, radiographers, nutritionist, counselor and physiotherapist.
    • Recording of all objective data.
    • Empowering the patient to make choices and decisions in order to instill a sense of control over medical issues and personal health
    • Showing compassion and helping to alleviate fear and anxiety by maintaining a calm presence, answering questions and addressing concerns
    • Treating the patient with dignity and respect and exhibiting an awareness of age, gender, racial, cultural and religious differences
    • Expressing empathy toward patients in an attempt to understand what they are experiencing
    • Communicating therapeutically by the use of touch, making eye contact, speaking directly to the patient, exhibiting a calm and unhurried manner, allowing time to respond to questions and responding appropriately to body language.

    The Person

    • Minimum Academic qualification of BNSC Nursing
    • Must have basic Computer appreciation knowledge
    • Outstanding Communication in English language (Oral and Written)
    • Good interpersonal managerial relationship
