    Operations - Plant / Process Operator II

    Main Functions

    • Responsible for liaising with the Control Room Technician (CRT) and other Operations Technicians on  job safety requirements to ensure understanding of the work objectives, safety, health, environmental, Operating Integrity System (OIMS), and security concerns.
    • Responsible for supporting the CRT/Ops Supervisor in providing oversight of area activities and ensuring they are integrated and conducted in a safe and efficient manner. Works in a crew environment to manage activities involved in the safe and efficient operation of all plant units and sulfur recovery operations. Performs equipment surveillance.

    Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Work cooperatively with contractor personnel to prepare and maintain a safe work environment for their work
    • Responsible for participating in the Operations Emergency Response activities relating to the area
    • Provide support and coordinate with the Systems Completion team during the start-up and commissioning of the facilities
    • Take part in the review of work packages for planned maintenance activities within the allocated area, confirm that isolation requirements are applied, and ensure that equipment preparation is planned in a manner that provides a safe environment for personnel to work
    • Endorse Work Permits as the Area Operator (AO)
    • Endorse Work Permits as the Isolating Authority (IA) when required
    • Encourage teamwork between the Maintenance and Operations groups
    • Support work prioritization to maximize effectiveness and complement the efforts of other work groups
    • Ensure the CRT is informed and consulted about operations and major issues
    • Ensure good communication between areas so that issues can be adequately addressed and actions completed
    • Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in the allocated area
    • Maintain a daily log and shift handover notes
    • Safely perform physical tasks when required, such as moving drums of chemicals, lifting, and climbing ladders, silos, and tanks
    • May perform minor equipment maintenance
    • Maintain a high standard of plant housekeeping
    • Make process changes to ensure the quality of end products remains within accepted standards

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Candidates should possess a B.Sc / M.Sc Degree with industry experience in operations or a similar field required. 
    • In-depth knowledge of production operations and processes
    • In-depth knowledge of P&IDs, PFDs, and UFDs
    • Ability to read shutdown logic diagrams
    • Demonstrate the highest standard of Safety, Health, and Environment practices and promote the same in others
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
    • Excellent interpersonal and motivational skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
    • Advanced understanding of Emergency Preparedness Procedures
    • Advanced knowledge of safety management tools and processes, including Permit to Work (PTW), Step Back 5x5, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Risk Assessment
    • Understanding of Controls Integrity (CI), safety management tools, and Production Operations Best Practices (POBP) and Planning & Budgeting (P&B) processes

    Projects - Project Coordinator III

    Main Function

    • Provide office coordination in support of geophysical vendor field operations

    Responsibilities
    In addition to Level 1 and 2 tasks and responsibilities, Level 3:

    • Assists in the preparation of proposal/project meetings (internal and external stakeholders); Issues minutes of meetings and creates an action Items log and follows up with the responsible persons for close out of action items
    • Produces various project management reports (weekly/monthly) including but not limited to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Project Status and Project Close-out Reports
    • Assists the PM in cost and schedule control in conjunction with the Project Controls Lead
    • Coordinates submission of invoices/timesheets to the Client
    • Reviews invoices submitted by sub-consultants and suppliers and coordinates payments with F&A
    • Coordinates document management for the project. Coordinates with the Document Control Lead the submission (transmittals) and retention of project documents
    • Coordinates issuance of subcontracts and purchase orders as required

    Skills and qualifications

    • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management
    • Extensive knowledge of Project Management Processes; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification an asset
    • Experience in project coordination and/or technical experience in large Design & Build
    • Must have excellent communication skills, possess high level of integrity, and willingness to build trust and accountability in inter-personal relationships while working in team setting
    • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English
    • Must be proficient in current communication mediums and technologies (i.e., Microsoft Office, telecommunications, email, meetings)
    • Must be in good physical condition and shall comply with all project health and safety requirements (including any vendor, vessel or country-specific certifications required to work offshore)
    • Must comply with all requirements per the agreement
    • Certifications must be current and not due to expire for the anticipated duration of the project
    • Experience dealing with general contractors and design sub consultants.
