    Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager (Volunteer)

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager (Volunteer) to lead the development and implementation of M&E frameworks for our expected palliative care projects. This volunteer role is crucial to tracking the success and impact of the services we provide and ensuring that we meet the goals of the project. The M&E Manager will be responsible for designing tools, collecting data, analyzing results, and producing reports to guide the project’s progress and improve outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Create monitoring and evaluation systems to assess project progress, impact, and efficiency. Ensure that M&E frameworks align with grant requirements and project objectives.
    • Design data collection tools and processes to capture quantitative and qualitative data on the impact of palliative care services.
    •  Ensure accurate and timely collection, storage, and analysis of data from healthcare providers, patients, and families.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the palliative care programme, assessing the delivery of medicines, equipment, patient care, and bereavement support.
    • Analyze data to determine the overall impact of the programme on patient quality of life and identify areas for improvement.
    • Prepare regular M&E reports for funders, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring that all findings are presented clearly and in a timely manner.
    •  Ensure that the project complies with the reporting and evaluation requirements of a grant.
    • Liaise with healthcare providers, volunteers, and community leaders to collect and validate data on programme performance.
    •  Provide training and support to staff and volunteers on M&E processes, ensuring that everyone involved understands how to track and report data effectively.
    • Use M&E findings to recommend adjustments to the project, improving service delivery and patient outcomes.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong background in monitoring and evaluation, particularly within health, community service, or development projects.
    • Experience in designing and implementing M&E systems, data collection tools, and reporting frameworks.
    • Knowledge of palliative care and/or healthcare programmes is an advantage.
    • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
    • Proficient in data management software and tools (e.g., Excel, statistical analysis software).
    • Strong communication and report writing skills, with attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
    • Experience working with grants or donor-funded projects is a plus.

    Project Coordinator, Palliative Care (Volunteer)

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a passionate and organized Project Coordinator (Volunteer) to lead the implementation of our expected palliative care project. This volunteer role involves overseeing the delivery of comprehensive palliative care services to vulnerable populations, including patients with life-threatening illnesses, their families, and caregivers. The Project Coordinator will be instrumental in managing the project’s execution, from planning to reporting, ensuring adherence to project goals, timelines, and budgets.

    Key Responsibilities:

    •  Plan, coordinate, and oversee the implementation of the palliative care project in line with grant requirements.
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, volunteers, and community partners to ensure the effective delivery of services.
    • Ensure that the programme addresses the physical, emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of palliative care patients and their families.
    • Oversee the procurement and distribution of palliative care medicines, equipment, and other essential resources.
    • Track project progress, prepare regular updates and reports for funders, and ensure compliance with grant guidelines.
    • Work closely with the finance team to monitor project expenditures, ensuring efficient use of the grant budget.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community members, and donors.
    • Assist with organizing and coordinating training for healthcare providers, volunteers, and home-based care workers involved in the programme.
    • Ensure the smooth coordination of transport for care delivery, including scheduling and fuel management for home-based care services.
    • Oversee the provision of bereavement support to the families of patients, working with counselors and volunteers.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong project management skills with experience in leading healthcare or community-based projects.
    • Knowledge of palliative care principles and experience working in health-related programmes is an advantage.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • Experience in budget management and grant compliance is highly desirable.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a volunteer capacity.
    • Passion for community service and supporting vulnerable populations.
