    Waiter/Waitress

    Location: Ogidi, Anambra State
    Accommodation: Yes

    Salary: attractive

    Responsibilities

    • Greet and escort customers to their tables
    • Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
    • Prepare tables by setting up linens, serviette stands, ware, cutlery and glasses
    • Inform customers about the day’s specials
    • Offer menu recommendations upon request
    • Up-sell additional products when appropriate
    • Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, order  slips or by memorization
    • Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
    • Serve food and drink orders
    • Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
    • Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
    • Deliver bills and collect payments
    • Carry dirty plates, glasses and trays to kitchen for cleaning
    • Meet with the supervisors or superiors to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)
    • Follow all relevant health department regulations
    • Provide excellent customer service to guests

    Requirements and skills

    • Proven work experience as a Waiter or Waitress
    • Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information system (e.g. ipms)
    • Basic math skills
    • Attentiveness and patience for customers
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
    • Active listening and effective communication skills
    • Team spirit
    • Flexibility to work in shifts
    • High school diploma; food safety training is a plus

    Maintenance officer

    Job Summary

    • Are you passionate about facility management and technically oriented?
    • We’re hiring a maintenance personnel to oversee the daily operations of our hotel facilities at Lekki Phase one, Lagos State.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Performing regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and upkeep of various systems and equipment. 
    • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, ACs, and other issues. 
    • Implementing and executing planned maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan. 
    • Working with contractors, vendors, and other departments to ensure efficient and effective maintenance. 
    • Adhering to safety regulations and procedures, maintaining a safe work environment. 
    • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and work orders. 

    Requirements:

    • Expertise in areas like HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
    • Ability to identify and diagnose issues quickly and efficiently.
    • Finding effective solutions to maintenance challenges.
    • Effective communication with coworkers, contractors, and supervisors.
    • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment.
    • Prioritizing tasks and completing them efficiently.
    • Performing tasks with accuracy and precision.
    • Adjusting to changing priorities and unexpected issues.

    Other Requirements

    • Minimum of OND / HND / BSc in technical, engineering, or related field
    • At least 2 years of experience as a maintenance personnel
    • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
    • Sound knowledge of facility management
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
