Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

• Operate machinery and maintain the printing press, ensuring product specifications and deadlines are met
• Check printed material for proper compliance with design concept, colour and other aesthetics
• Establish printing press quality through pulling proof copies.
• Oversee preventative maintenance, repairs and modifications on machinery 
• Ensure proper maintenance, safety, and functionality of all equipment
• Handle and oversee the production of printed materials, as well as the packaging process, to ensure it meets approved specifications and is ready on schedule
• Develop and maintain quality management processes, to guarantee approved quality and excellence for every product
• Troubleshooting equipment issues
• Ensure the production unit adheres to relevant health and safety regulations when operating machinery and handling products
• Ensure work areas and production floor clean and free from hazardous material
• Ensure the production unit adheres to operational procedures and production timelines
• Carry out periodic stock checks to ensure proper storage and prevent damage
• Work with the Operations team to create production budget and expense reports as needed, and track same- submitting monthly operations reports to the operations lead
• Research best practices and innovations in product development and manufacture
• Consistently research cost-effective options for production processes
• Supervise and coordinate work schedules of the production team, and ad-hoc team, to ensure excellent and prompt service delivery

Qualification

• HND in relevant field
• In-depth understanding of basic printing technologies
• Minimum of 4 years proven work experience in similar role
• Proficiency in operating relevant materials and machinery
• Relevant training and/or certifications
• Ability to interpret and understand complex design concepts

Job Description

• Interpret client briefs into creative designs in anticipation of approvals or feedback
• Work with Customer Satisfaction team to effect client design preferences
• Work with other departments and ad-hoc teams as required, to achieve overall productivity
• Contribute to team efforts by intuitively recommending and accomplishing set goals
• Aesthetic maintenance of the company website by creating a wide range of graphics and layouts as required
• Work with other departments as required to create brand appropriate graphics and content for social media and other brand communications
• Maintain coherent brand identity across all design-led communications
• Create guidelines for how logos and other branding materials should be displayed and used.
• Create audio, video and other graphic content for onward forwarding to the customer service team; who will check for brand conformity before posting.
• Research, design and recommend new products for the brand
• Research and recommend best practices in design to promote overall brand image and industry competitiveness.

Professional Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Art, or related field.
• 2-3 years relevant experience as a graphic designer
• Mastery of design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop and video editing software)
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
