We are seeking an accomplished, innovative, and results-driven engineering executive to lead the Airport\'s Engineering & Infrastructure Directorate and drive the delivery of safe, reliable, and world-class airport infrastructure.
The Opportunity
The Chief Engineering & Infrastructure Officer will provide strategic leadership for the planning, development, maintenance, modernization, and lifecycle management of the Airport\'s engineering assets, infrastructure, utilities, and technical systems. Reporting to Executive Management, the successful candidate will oversee engineering operations, capital development projects, asset management, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory compliance while ensuring uninterrupted airport operations and long-term infrastructure resilience.
What You\'ll Do
- Develop and implement the Airport\'s Engineering & Infrastructure Strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
- Provide executive oversight for engineering operations, airfield infrastructure, terminal facilities, utilities, technical services, and asset management.
- Lead infrastructure modernization, capital development programmes, and engineering innovation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs), Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations (NCARs), environmental requirements, and applicable engineering standards.
- Drive engineering governance, maintenance excellence, asset optimisation, energy efficiency, sustainability, and business continuity initiatives.
- Advise Executive Management on engineering investments, infrastructure planning, technical risk, and operational resilience.
- Build and lead a high-performing engineering team while fostering a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What We\'re Looking For
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Structural, or Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- A Master\'s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, Business Administration (MBA), Infrastructure Management, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Registration with COREN and membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) or other relevant professional engineering bodies is required. Additional project management or asset management certifications will be an advantage.
- Minimum of 15 years\' progressive engineering experience, including at least 7 years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale engineering operations, infrastructure, or capital projects.
- Demonstrated experience in engineering strategy, asset lifecycle management, facilities management, capital project delivery, maintenance planning, utilities management, and engineering governance.
- Strong leadership, commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.
- Experience in aviation, airports, transportation, infrastructure, utilities, oil & gas, or other highly regulated industries will be an added advantage.

- A Master\'s Degree in Aviation Safety, Quality Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Relevant professional certifications in Safety Management Systems (SMS), ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 31000, Lead Auditor, or equivalent recognised qualifications will be an advantage.
