JOB OBJECTIVE:

The Executive shall be responsible for providing advice on legal matters, commercial contracts, and agreements. Also responsible for assisting the team in administrative tasks, document management, and research.

1. Provide advice on corporate legal issues and business matters.
2. Provide internal advisory services to the business units and departments within the Company.
3. Provide commercial legal support to all departmental projects and job functions.
4. Ensure the development of service level agreements for service support and delivery.
5. Assist in the development of guidelines, policies, and procedures.
6. Analise and review legal agreements, legislation, and documents for the Company.
7. Ensure (internal & external) compliance with laid down guidelines, policies, and procedures; investigate issues of non-compliance as may be required.
8. Ensure timely completion of tasks maintaining a clear timeline for deliverables. 
9. Monitor concise summaries of court proceedings across different courts, as allocated to external legal counsel.
10. Monitor matters that come up as emergencies e.g. police cases.
11. Maintain and update all contracts database/filing systems

JOB OBJECTIVE:

The role of a Legal Officer, often referred to as a Legal Counsel or Legal Advisor, involves providing legal support and guidance within an organization.

It also involves working closely with various departments within the company to ensure that its operations remain within.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.

• Maintain and update all contracts database/filing systems
• Liaise with external solicitors, regulatory bodies, governments, landlords of buildings occupied by the Company in various states, and other stakeholders.
• Assist in managing disputes and litigation, coordinating with external legal counsel when necessary, and representing the organization in legal matters.
• Collaborates with the teams to implement the organization\'s legal strategy in alignment with the business goal.
• Prepare correspondences and follow up with the engagements with regulatory and compliance agencies.
• Assist with the administrative arm of the unit duties. 
• Conduct legal research to stay informed about relevant laws and regulations, providing updates to the organization as necessary.
