    Nursery Two Teacher

    Job Description

    • Providing a safe and stimulating environment that facilitates learning. organising and supervising play and work activities (for example reading, cooking, music, dancing etc) liaising with parents, carers and professionals such as speech therapists and maintaining records.
    • Responsibilities:
    • Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
    • Attend to children's basic needs by feeding them, dressing them, and changing their diapers.
    • Teach basic skills such as color, shape, number and letter recognition, personal hygiene, and social skills.
    • Establish and enforce rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining order.
    • Read books to entire classes or to small groups.
    • Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips.
    • Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
    • Identify children showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related problems, and discuss them with supervisors, parents or guardians.
    • Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs, determine their priorities for their children, and suggest ways that they can promote learning and development.
    • Teach proper eating habits and personal hygiene etc.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop a careful and creative program suitable for preschool children
    • Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children
    • Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
    • Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
    • Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
    • Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
    • Track children’s progress and report to parents
    • Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche
    • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

    Requirement
    Education:

    • BSc degree in Early Childhood Education or relevant Certification.
    • Must have 2-4 years work experience

    Skills:

    • Caring and nurturing attitude towards children
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent knowledge of child development and latest education theories and practices
    • Creative and artistic teaching abilities
    • Teaching and Organisation skills
    • Patience and flexibility

    Salary
    N60,000 - N70,000 / Month.

    Pre-Nursery Teacher

    Job Description

    • Developing a careful and creative program suitable for preschool children.
    • Employing a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children.
    • Observing each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem.

    Responsibilities

    • Design and follow a complete teaching plan
    • Teach alphabet and numeracy along with personal, social and emotional skills
    • Organize learning material and resources
    • Use a variety of activities and instructional methods (songs, stories, media, structured games, art, outdoor activities etc) to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities
    • Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information
    • Assess students performance and progress to ensure they are mastering the skills on regular basis
    • Monitor children’s interactions and nurture cooperation and sharing
    • Cooperate with administration staff
    • Follow and comply with teaching standards and safety regulations

    Requirements
    Education:

    • B.Sc in Early Childhood Education or other relevant field or knowledge
    • Experience: 2 - 4 years.

    Skills:

    • Excellent knowledge of child development and latest education theories and practices
    • Creative and artistic teaching abilities
    • Teaching and Organisation skills
    • Patience and flexibility
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to keep abreast with the latest trends and best practices.

    Salary

    • N60,000 - N70,000 monthly.
