    Project Coordinators (3 Slots)

    GAIN is seeking to recruit Project Coordinators (three (3) slots) to provide field coordination, and performance management for programme implementation across multiple states within the designated zone. Working closely with relevant partners and agencies the coordinators will harmonize partner activities, track delivery progress, and ensures compliance with donor and GAIN policies.  This role will be offered on a two (2) year fixed term contract, subject to securing the award and availability of funding. Each coordinator will be based in one of the three states in Nigeria, (Lagos, Kano and Nasarawa).

    Key Responsibilities include

    • Provide zonal-level coordination of the programme implementation across multiple states, ensuring coherence with national strategy and programme objectives.
    • Coordinate operational planning and performance tracking across the zone, aligning workplans, budgets, and deliverables with national priorities.
    • Support harmonization of partner activities, ensuring consistency in implementation, data reporting, and quality assurance.
    • Facilitate regular zonal review meetings, joint planning sessions, and reflection workshops to strengthen accountability and shared ownership.
    • Monitor progress against performance targets (e.g., job creation, enterprise growth, productivity outcomes) and address implementation bottlenecks.
    • Ensure technical standards, gender inclusion, and safeguarding are embedded across all state-level operations.
    • Conduct routine field visits, spot checks, and quality audits to assess partner performance and compliance. Identify operational risks and implement mitigation measures in collaboration with the Programme Quality and Risk teams.
    • Serve as GAIN’s focal representative within the zone, managing relationships with state governments, implementing partners, private sector actors, and development agencies.
    • Support zonal budgeting, expenditure tracking, and financial forecasting in collaboration with the team lead.

    About you

    • The ideal candidate should possess experience in programme coordination or management within large-scale agricultural, livelihoods, or private-sector development projects. Experience coordinating and engaging with partners across government, private sector and implementing partners is crucial.
    • You should have experience tracking and coordinating field activities ensuring they are being implemented according to agreed timelines in line with organisational and donor standards.
    • Knowledge of using project management tools for delivery is required.
    • The candidate should possess capacity to coordinate multiple components in a project dealing with production, market access, and inclusion.
    • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Development Studies, Management, Economics, or related field is required.
    • Certification in project management or development planning is desirable.

    Manager, Technical Integration

    GAIN is seeking to recruit a Technical Integration Manager to lead and ensure seamless coordination across all the technical programme components from input and production to processing, logistics, marketing, financial inclusion, gender and safeguarding, and youth innovation. This role will be offered on a two (2) year fixed term contract, subject to securing the award and availability of funding. This role will be based in Abuja, Nigeria.

    Key Responsibilities include

    • Provide strategic technical leadership to harmonize the programme’s interventions across all thematic components i.e. inputs & production, processing & manufacturing, marketing & distribution, financial inclusion, youth enterprise and gender inclusion.
    • Translate programme strategy and the Theory of Change into integrated, operational delivery frameworks across states and partners.
    • Ensure technical coherence between production systems, processing, logistics, market access, financial inclusion, and youth enterprise support.
    • Lead the development of integrated technical workplans that reflect interdependence across programme components.
    • Provide matrix oversight and technical coaching to all programme component coordinators to enhance integrated delivery.
    • Support high-level technical consortium discussions, ensuring the programme’s integrated delivery model is understood and upheld.

    About you

    • The ideal candidate should have extensive experience providing technical programme leadership integrating multisector interventions specifically in market systems, value chain development and agricultural transformation approaches.
    • You should have deep understanding of how agricultural value chains work from farm to market.
    • Excellent technical partnership management with private sector and government actors across agricultural value chains is required.
    • Excellent project management skills are required to manage the multiple technical interventions to be implemented.
    • You should possess strong people management skills with ability to lead and guide technical teams in field locations.
    • A bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Rural Development or a related field is required as a minimum.
