    Media Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Identify press opportunities through evolving issues.
    • Develop content for dissemination via press releases, social media, websites, and other distribution channels.
    • Ensure that key messages align with vital business strategies.
    • Serve as the organization’s media liaison and formal spokesperson.
    • Conduct press conferences and briefings.
    • Scan the media marketplace to keep up-to-date on the latest media trends.
    • Monitor online and offline campaigns, and report on results.
    • Negotiate with media channels to close competitive deals.
    • Build and manage the organization's social media profile and presence.
    • Promote additional projects to support new product launches.
    • Maintain great relationships with media outlets and media influencers.
    • Appropriately manage the organization’s media budget.
    • Responsible for the day-to-day tasks of media relations, such as setting up interviews and engaging with the media.
    • Organise response templates for different teams, such as social media comments and email templates.
    • Work alongside the PR, Communications and Branding teams to ensure our narrative and tone is aligned with our brand.

    Requirements

    • A First Degree in a relevant course
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in relevant role with at least 2 years in management
    • Professional certifications are desirable
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced organization
    • Excellent decision-making and presentation skills
    • Ability to adapt communication techniques based on different audiences.
    • Outstanding verbal and writing skills with experience in liaising with members of the media across platforms.
