    Mechanical Technician

    Job Summary

    • The Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving mechanical systems and machinery to ensure efficient production operations. The role involves routine inspections, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment, machines, and production lines.
    • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
    • Inspect and diagnose mechanical faults using appropriate tools and techniques.
    • Install, align, and test new machinery and mechanical components.
    • Ensure all machines operate safely and efficiently during production.
    • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports.
    • Support continuous improvement projects to enhance machine performance.
    • Collaborate with production, electrical, and quality teams to resolve breakdowns quickly.
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and company policies.
    • Recommend spare parts, repairs, or upgrades as needed.

    Requirements

    • OND/HND/BSc or Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
    • 2 - 4 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing environment (FMCG, food & beverage, plastics, packaging, etc.).
    • Hands-on experience with maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
    • Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance processes.
    • Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

    Production Supervisor (Diaper Manufacturing)

    Job Summary

    • The Production Supervisor oversees daily production activities in the diaper manufacturing line, ensuring smooth operations, adherence to quality standards, timely output, and compliance with safety procedures. The role focuses on coordinating the workforce, managing machine performance, monitoring materials, and driving continuous improvement across all production processes.
    • Supervise and coordinate activities of machine operators, packers, and line workers.
    • Ensure daily/shift production targets are met with minimal downtime.
    • Monitor line performance and quickly resolve operational issues.
    • Enforce adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all production stages.
    • Ensure diapers meet quality specifications. Conduct routine quality checks and collaborate with QA team on non-conformities.
    • Implement corrective and preventive actions for defects or recurring issues.
    • Oversee the operation of key machines (cutting, SAP application, elastic bands, sealing, packaging, etc.).
    • Report mechanical faults and ensure timely maintenance.
    • Monitor usage of raw materials (tissue, non-woven, SAP, elastic, tapes, packaging).
    • Prevent wastage and ensure optimal utilization.
    • Communicate material shortages and support inventory planning.
    • Assign tasks, manage shift schedules, and supervise attendance.
    • Enforce compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
    • Report accidents/incidents and follow proper investigation procedures.
    • Maintain daily production logs, downtime reports, and material consumption records.
    • Present shift performance reports to management.
    • Support audits and documentation requirements.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • HND/BSc in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
    • 3 – 5 years of experience in FMCG manufacturing; diaper or hygiene product experience is an advantage.
    • Strong understanding of high-speed production machines.
    • Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and under pressure.
