    Loan Portfolio Officer, Financial Services

    Summary

    • TradeDepot’s Financial Services division is looking for capable individuals to join its portfolio management team and roll out financial services at scale for a rapidly growing customer base.
    • The Portfolio Management team is a team of agents responsible for building and managing a loan portfolio of borrowers, directly from TradeDepot’s retailer audience. Your duties would be to take ownership of your account - including conducting retailer profiling and assessment, collection of KYC, verification and due diligence required before recommending them to receive credit. You will be in charge of everything to do with managing borrowers and making sure that your portfolio is of the highest quality, including performing collections and recovery activities, making sure that these are done on time and in full.
    • This role is ideal for someone who has the right mix of enthusiasm, passion, energy and experience to execute diligently in the financial services sector. You must have previous experience working as a loan origination/collections officer and has sound understanding of portfolio management and credit risk.
    • Familiarity with retailer audiences and SME/Micro SME lending is a bonus.
    • You will be responsible for delivering on all metrics associated with their portfolio, and must be able to take supervision from the leadership team, while also collaborating with other portfolio manager agents.
    • You must have experience using smartphones, and be familiar with mobile app usage to be successful at this role.

    Responsibilities:

    Portfolio Management (95%)

    • Perform activities to convert borrowers from existing retailer audience, including field visits and phone calls.
    • Gain thorough understanding of the loan product and the company’s operational processes, and communicate these to potential and existing borrowers.
    • Build and maintain a high-quality portfolio of borrowers according to targets communicated by the supervisor on a weekly basis.
    • Be accountable for borrowers in your portfolio and ensure they are able to borrow and repay their loans on time and in full.
    • Be responsible for the success of your individual portfolio, including knowing how much capital to deploy to where, for how long, and where to get the best return.
    • Leverage data and insights provided by the company and team leads on the best areas to focus on.
    • Daily, weekly, monthly reporting to team leads and supervisors.
    • Be responsible for collections and recovery of outstanding loans, according to the company’s collections/recovery policy.
    • Comply with all instructions and targets set by team lead, supervisor, and managers.
    • Use technology tools and apps provided by the company to onboard and manage borrowers in your portfolio.
    • Alert supervisors and team leads to bad borrower behaviour, signs of default in one’s portfolio.

    Qualifications:

    • University degree, Polytechnic, or equivalent.

    Reconciliation Officer, Financial Services

    Summary:

    • The Reconciliation officer is responsible for reconciling the accounts, ledgers and bank statements of Merchant Services.
    • You must have experience reconciling accounts/books of a financial services organisation or FMCG.
    • You will report to the Head of Finance Merchant Services who shall provide guidance and support.

    Responsibilities:

    Supply Operations (80%)           

    • Reconciliation of settlement accounts, portfolio and bank statements for Financial Services
    • Analysis of financial data and portfolio of Financial Services
    • Providing necessary support to team members & stakeholders
    • Ensuring our books are tidy and unearned income are realized promptly
    • Reconciling of complaints from clients, other business units as regards excess charges/irregularities
    • Creation of ledgers for the books of Financial Services for propose of monitoring/reconciliation

    General Responsibilities (20%) 

    • Rendering of daily/weekly/monthly reports
    • ensure books are tidy and balanced
    • Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably expected

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • 2-3 years’ experience in market analysis, supply operations or sales operations
    • 2-3 years as a reconciliation officer in a financial services organization
    • Proficiency in use of excel & power point
    •  Understanding of basic accounting principles and interpretation of financial statements
    • Should be meticulous with strong problem solving skills
    • An innovative mindset
    • Ability to work flexibly

    Warehouse Compliance Supervisor

    Reports to: to the Monitoring & Compliance Head.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensuring all the established processes for loading and unloading of goods are followed and that they match the relevant paperwork
    • Ensuring all the established process for picking and packing of goods are followed and that they match the relevant paperwork
    • Close monitoring to ensure the movement and storing of stock is performed according to established procedures
    • Ensuring that damaged or missing goods are reported to Warehouse Managers and Head M&C or via the approved incident reporting tool
    • Ensuring Warehouse inventory controls processes are followed, which typically involves using a hand-held scanner to ensure products are picked and shipped correctly
    • Ensuring those in charge of keeping the Warehouse environment clean and tidy; and maintaining equipment do that according to established procedures
    • Ensuring conformity with the different approved dress code for the different units within the Warehouse
    • Ensuring merchandise are being treated with care and concern at all times
    • Ensuring only authorized individuals are allowed movements within and out of the Warehouse in line with established procedures
    • Ensuring the workplace health and safety rules when handling goods are performed according to established procedures
    • Monitor and enforce compliance with established operational standards, policies and procedures for inbound, outbound and storage, and reporting any suspicious activity at work
    • Collect issues on non-conformity to established compliance standards for prompt resolution
    • Identify business risks affecting the supply chain.
    • Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Monitoring & Compliance Head or company.

    Requirements:

    • A good University Degree or its equivalent in a relevant field.
    • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
    • Working knowledge of all Warehouse Operations Processes.
    • Experience in the effective monitoring, reviewing and enforcement of procedure and policy.
    • An eye for detail and accuracy with a strong analytical capability
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

    • Significant reduction in infractions

    • Number of ideas suggested and implemented
    • New learning/knowledge acquired/imparted
    • Process Improvement initiatives
    • Identification of business risks affecting the supply chain
    • Monitoring and Enforcing conformity with  all established Warehouse procedures and processes
    • Zero tolerance for lingering unresolved issues which impedes operations in the Warehouse longer that the allowable limit

    Job requirements:

    A good University Degree or its equivalent in a relevant field.

    • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
    • Working knowledge of all Warehouse Operations Processes.
    • Experience in the effective monitoring, reviewing and enforcement of procedure and policy.
    • An eye for detail and accuracy with a strong analytical capability
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
