    Trade Marketing Manager

    Ref No: TMM / 1121 / DAS

    Job Summary

    • The Trade Marketing Manager will be responsible for the implementation of all merchandising activities and activation in all Trade Channels across Nigeria in alignment with the Brand Strategy.
    • He/she will be responsible for creating effective Persuasive Selling Format, Sales Presenter as well as customer profiling and gathering of market intelligence reports.

    Job Responsibilities
    Merchandising Function:

    • Responsible for the proposal of merchandising improvements that will enhance the display of improved product or brand awareness in all trade channels.
    • Responsible for validating the allocation, deployment and inventory of Point of Sales Material and other marketing collaterals from the depot.
    • Responsible for the review of Trade Marketing reports regarding implementation of each merchandising improvements per channel.
    • Accountable for the evaluation of the budget spending on Point of Sales Material allocation by each area or channel.
    • Responsible for deployment, training, and assessment of merchandisers.

    Channel Activation:

    • Responsible for preparation and approval of proposed activation by the Trade Marketing Supervisor or Regional Sales Managers, for the improvement of customer sell - out in Modern Trade and General Trade Channel.
    • Responsible for analyzing the implementation of each channel activation as well as recommendation where deviations from plan occur.
    • Responsible for the analysis of post-evaluation report by the Trade Marketing for channel activation as well as evaluation of budget disbursements for each channel activation per account.

    Customer Profiling and Market Intelligence:

    • Prescription of channel or area to conduct customer profiling.
    • Responsible for directing the Trade Marketing Supervisor in the conduct of market intelligence to mine insights and data in the area of assignment such as:
      • Documentation of current merchandising display
      • Market sizing/ business information per category
      • Pricing Report Documentation
      • Competitive Intelligence Report.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business-related fields. Master’s degree is preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ line experience in the FMCG Trade Marketing Management with background in the Sales Operation.
    • Robust knowledge of various Microsoft Office application software.
    • Excellent communication skill both verbally and in written.
    • Considerable knowledge of Basic Finance (cost analysis and promo spend analysis)
    • Exceptional decision-making skills.
    • Must possess keen awareness and sensitivity to market changes.

    Fleet Manager

    Job Summary

    • Responsible for the selection and management of the right transporter vendor as well as the company’s fleet.
    • Ensure the full complement of trucks at all times.
    • Responsible for the overall planning of rates and transport cost, coordination and management of the fleet and related general administration.
    • Ensure the implementation of the company fleet management policy.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Ensure all required vehicles are available and in top shape so as to enhance timely and seamless distribution of products or service at minimal cost.
    • Responsible for overseeing routine and ad hoc maintenance, obtain tags for new vehicles and renew old ones to ensure schedule fleet management.
    • Responsible for planning and preparation of annual transport budget, expenditures as well as analysis of all financial objectives.
    • Monitor and ensure fleet operation are in compliance with local and state rules and regulations.
    • Responsible for maintaining and monitoring sales order and purchase order/PR alongside supply chain management and depot team, to organize fleets as per various schedules and requests.
    • Facilitate and implement corrective measures and capacity building to manage the entire fleet towards the achievement of company objectives.
    • Plan, process and execute vehicle purchase and vehicle replacement through efficient settlement in all depot.
    • Develop and implement standard operational procedures alongside depot team to operate vehicles by advocating best practices in the depot.
    • Responsible for the selection of appropriate vehicles and maintenance vendor in conjunction with the Depot Head and maintenance team, so as to ensure all vehicles are in good shape and available to carry out their functions.
    • Monitor and ensure the routine and need-based maintenance of the vehicles in conjunction with maintenance team and driver.
    • Track and analyze the vehicles-wise cost of fueling, maintenance, and other recurring expenses pertaining to running of the fleet.
    • Responsible for the recruitment, training and supervision of depot drivers for compliance with company business process.
    • Responsible for the recruitment of external transporters to deliver customer orders in all depot.
    • Responsible for portraying a good image of the company by being an exemplary leader who lives the values of the organization, as evident from 360 DNA reviews

    • Exceptional training and presentations skills, including ability to make formal presentations internal and externally.
    • Proven track record of leadership.

    Regional Sales Manager

    • The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for delivering the overall sales targets in the assigned region and implementation of business strategy sustaining volume growth as well as increasing the numeric and weighted distribution within the prescribed sales policies.

    • Ensure the monitoring, analysis and actions on sales force automation dataand reports.
    • Responsible for gathering information that are relevant in understanding the business of the region such as competitor pricing & promotion, rate of sales, and market insight.
    • Collaborates with the modern trade team and van sales team to implement the channel plans and promotions.
    • Collaborates with the trade marketing team and marketing team on the implementation of brand programs.
    • Responsible for the achievement of regional sales operational objectives whileproviding regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
    • Responsible for resolution of problems, identification of trends, determination of regional sales system improvements as well as implementation of changes.
    • Recruiting, orienting, training and penalizing employees in assigned region through clear communication of job expectations.
    • Responsible for monitoring, developing and appraisal of team.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales or Social Sciences from a reputable tertiary institution. MBA is preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ line experience in business and sales management.
    • Must be well versed with local zone geography.
    • Excellent interpersonal, customer relations and team management skills.
    • Proven track record of leadership, collaboration and team work.
