Responsibilities

• Propose, review policies and processes and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of the organization and Clients.
• Create training programs that are aligned with clients objectives and needs.
• Facilitate different styles of training techniques, including e-learning, tutorial sessions or coaching.
• Perform training needs analysis in conjunction with Clients, identify skill gaps and create training interventions programs
• Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
• Design induction programs for new hires, conduct orientation sessions and arrange on-the-job training where necessary.
• Build relationships with 3rd party training providers
• Manage the development of the HR team from a training perspective.
• Design staple curriculums for all employees and Clients (i.e. values).

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
• The candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in designing, developing and delivering training material; developing a training strategy and understanding of different training methods and channels
• Advanced or proficient level of Microsoft Office skills, PowerPoint and Excel in particular.

Store Supervision/Operational Excellence:

• Tour the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and engaging customers on suggestive buying strategies.
• Manage and motivate the team to increase sales and efficiency and ensure outlet operational excellence.
• Maximize profitability and minimize overhead cost
• Implement in-store promotional plans and events
• Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met.
• Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control.

Customer Service Management:

• Respond promptly to customer complaints and comments.
• Identify and resolve urgent issues
• Create a welcoming ambiance for customers that enhance a remarkable shopping experience.
• Promote and monitor customer engagement in every category in the store.

Human Resource:

• Conduct annual appraisals and quarterly performance reviews for all direct reports in conjunction with the human resource team.
• Reward and discipline employees for outstanding and substandard performance respectively
• Escalate underperforming team members to the HR team without delay.
• Conduct training need analysis and organize training programs for all reporting line.
• Conduct and oversee PEP talk for all staff before resumption, creating a platform for team meeting to discuss pressing issues and how to deploy immediate intervention.

Market Awareness Intelligence:

• Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what competitors are doing.
• Initiate changes to improve the business, such as revising opening hours to ensure the store can compete effectively in the local market.

Responsibilities
Market/competitor benchmarking:

• Codify brands, product ranges, and prices of products in the category that are carried by key competitors.
• Make recommendations on standard / widely used products to be stocked in the category.

Product selection:

• Determine the ideal product set that the category needs to customer needs and address the competitive challenges.
• Progressively grow sales and range of products in priority sub-categories until the ideal product assortment is reached.
• Retire products that are not meeting customer needs to ensure the proposed product set consistently fits within available shelf space.

Pricing and category margins:

• Propose/ set prices for products in the category. Calculate monthly the gross margin for the category and work towards achieving the target margin.

Merchandising/planogram planning:

• Create an ideal visual merchandising plan/standard for the category. Adjust the visual merchandising plan to peculiarities of each branch and train subordinates on how to deliver the plan.
