    Application Developer - Microsoft Solutions

    Job Summary

    • The Microsoft Solution Developer is a technology focused role intended to provide development and management of NSE SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and AX installations firm wide.
    • The role sits within Technology department and under the Application Development unit specifically.
    • The successful candidate will have advanced to expert level experience with SharePoint 2010 & 2013, Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.

    Key Responsibilities
    The responsibilities and expectations of the SharePoint developer are as follows:

    • Actively use structured development methodologies and with Agile development technologies (preferably scrum) for projects, based on various technical, organizational, project and team considerations
    • Develop required software using structured quality control processes
    • Develop and Extend the Microsoft Solutions Deployed in the Exchange
    • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation on deployments and processes and standard operating procedures
    • Report on operational status at both a tactical and strategic level.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum of 5 years progressive work experience as a developer/web developer (preferably at an exchange or within the financial services sector)
    • B.Sc degree in Computer Science, Engineering discipline, Mathematics or Physics.

    Job Summary

    • The Internal Control Officer is responsible for implementing control initiatives across the organisation and works closely with all Departments/Units across the organisation
    • TheIncumbent will manage the Internal Control Unit which sits under the Chief Risk Officer(CRO).

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure internal operations are effective, efficient and aligned with strategy
    • Implement an effective control environment at all organizational levels including control activities tailored for defined processes and creating minimum requirements for all business areas
    • Conduct and directs reviews of organization controls, operating procedures, and compliance with policies and regulations
    • Responsible for driving shared ethical values and developing a strong internal control culture among all employees
    • Manage and develop a comprehensive framework for assessing, identifying, monitoring and minimizing, internal control issues that could interfere with the organizations objectives and goals
    • Review and appraise the soundness, effectiveness, and proper application of accounting and financial controls, compliance procedures and controls and timeliness of documentation generation
    • Responsible for ensuring appropriate documentation (procedures/process flows) exist for all key business controls
    • Develop recommendations to strengthen internal controls and improve operational efficiency
    • Responsible for coordinating with stakeholders (internal and external) to align internal control procedures within the organization
    • Establish and maintain strong working relationships across the organization and other control groups (i.e. Risk Management, Audit, Compliance, Legal, etc.) Ensure sufficient ongoing review is being performed by all departments to review their processes and ensure effective controls are in place
    • Remain current with evolving industry and regulatory changes, and analyze their impact on business objectives and processes
    • Perform appropriate internal control reporting to the CEO, Executive Committee, Council Committees and National Council of The Exchange
    • Provide timely and accurate information to the External and Internal Auditors, Chief Risk Officer and other stakeholders as and when required
    • To train internal and external stakeholders on Internal Control related matters

    Qualifications and Experience

    • To successfully deliver the above goals, the right candidate must have: A degree Banking, Accountancy, Finance, Economics or Business Administration or a similar field, plus 5-10 years’ experience
    • Extensive knowledge of Internal Control, Risk Management, Audit and Compliance including demonstrated experience in the application of Internal Control disciplines
    • Thorough knowledge of Internal Control principles and practices
    • Demonstrated leadership and management ability in a complex organization
    • Sound business and financial judgment with problem-solving abilities.

    Job Summary

    • In pursuing a vision of becoming the innovative hub of technology solutions that provide unique customer service experience, the Head, Market Services will have the strategic responsibility of delivering timely, accurate and reliable market data to local and international clients, maintaining intellectual property rights on the sale of its market data and the provisioning of a co-hosting facility for the Exchange.
    • In addition, the incumbent will develop policies and procedures for all the functional units within the department.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Key Responsibilities will include: Market Data: The Head, Market Services shall be responsible for the overall growth of the Exchange’s client base through prospecting, relationship management, referrals, cross-selling etc
    • The jobholder will develop Market Data agreement policies and procedures that enable sale & distribution of market data and also supervise the effective management of all market data services and clients
    • Monetize technology capabilities
    • Supervise the provision and sales of all market data products and services by ensuring integrity of data. Partner with other divisions and units to gather data from individual sources to disperse to customers
    • Oversee responses to all customer data queries (adhoc reports) and requirements
    • Provide monthly business management reports
    • Ensure resolution of escalated problems and issues
    • Oversee market data reporting processes and manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure adequate analysis and visualisations are commensurate with set standards, providing unique experience for clients in particular and the general public at large
    • FIX: Oversee and ensure the smooth running of the FIX infrastructure to adequately support the ecosystem of users in line with best practice
    • Ensure the reliability and performance of the underlying software modules and delivering accurate data between networks. Oversee the Order Management System
    • Leverage relationships with key players from the buy-side, sell-side and inter-dealer market to drive operations of FIX
    • X-Net: Oversee and manage the X-NET platform Manage the sales and distribution and support for all X-net services Hosting Services: Provide hosting platform for Dealing Member Firms (DMF) using The Exchange’s cloud services to host their application
    • Create/provide innovative support for the market e.g. e-IPO platform
    • Contact Centre: Convert the Contact Centre into a profit centre
    • Oversee the Contact Centre and ensure high quality interactions and experience customers and The Exchange. Deploy the use of Artificial Intelligence to anticipate customer’s inquiry and predict their needs in order to provide appropriate support throughout the interaction. Monitor and ensure continuous improvement in of service provided to clients High level engagement with clients to obtain qualitative and quantitative feedback to improve the Exchange’s customer experience. Data Warehouse (XDB): Responsible for any updates/new requirements interfacing other external entities and creation of Application Protocol Interface (API)
    • Oversee the Market data workshops – an initiative for the Capital Market
    • Serve as the single point of contact for all market data vendors & Independent software vendors
    • Others: Articulate and respond to Change Requests (CR) from businesses
    • Oversee the Market Data Workshop Initiative targeted at the Capital Market community
    • Serve as member of the Index Committee
    • Serve as a member of the committee that looks after index value and index creation
    • Engage Market Data Vendors (MDVs) / Independent System Vendors (ISVs) to ensure value is provided to all stakeholders.

    Qualifications And Experience

    • Minimum of 15 Years experience in Data Management and Analysis; experience in Financial Services organization preferred
    • B.Sc degree in Computer Science, Economics, Engineering discipline, Mathematics or Physics will be a distinct advantage
    • Demonstrate understanding of conceptual and physical data models using relational and multi-dimensional data modelling techniques
    • Strong documentation, written and communication skills
    • Knowledge of the technical aspects of an administrative information system
    • Knowledge of the practices and principles of Project management
    • Knowledge of Business Intelligence practices
    • Skills in data warehousing and data modeling techniques in SQL Server and Oracle environments
