    Business Developer

    About the job

    • invoizPAID currently enables SME's who sell online (e.g JUMIA) to access working capital to grow their online business via invoizPAID's merchant financing model.
    • The key purpose for this job role is to maximize the revenue streams of the merchant financing model and carry out growth hacking/business advisory sessions for the SME's.

    Key Responsibilities

    • On-boarding & activation of online merchants
    • Carry out business verification exercises
    • Carry out growth hacking sessions/workshops
    • Managing the relationship with partner eCommerce platforms
    • Maximising revenues by ensuring weekly & monthly repayment targets are met
    • Supporting the merchants on all issues relating to their online stores

    Your profile

    • Strong business skills evidenced by a business qualification or track record of managing similar businesses.
    • Technical understanding of eCommerce platforms evidenced through qualifications or previous management experience.
    • Strong analytical skillsSound, up-to-date working knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice affecting Nigerian e-Commerce platforms.

    About Seedstars Nigeria

    • Seedstars Nigeria has the objective to develop the entrepreneurial ecosystem and build a diversified portfolio of high growth tech companies solving real "pains" rather than "vitamins".

    Objectives
    Your main objectives will be to:

    • Make talents be contributing ASAP and continually improve their skills at a steady pace
    • Minimize gaps of missing talents
    • Minimize waste in talents (having low performers too long, good people at wrong position, making sure people are paid right amount not too much, not too little, …)

    Responsibilities
    The day to day responsibilities will include:

    • Experiment and build a recipe of farming, hunting, closing great talents (as fact based at possible)
    • Deploy the on boarding process (Foundation week, email, travel insurance, basic training, specific team training)
    • Deploy an out boarding process (how to communicate to person and to other, remove access, etc)
    • Deliver internal development and knowledge sharing programs (online courses, chapter meetings)
    • Organize local training/development sessions
    • Deploy and monitor personal development process
    • Deploy and monitor career progression.

    Your Profile

    • You have a background in recruiting and people development related processes (education, training, learning and development, talent development, career progression etc.)
    • You have 2 minimum years of experience.

    Job Details

    • Credit Risk Officer needs to understand all risks – from the economic to the political – that could affect our business model, and offering guidance to all parts of the business. Provide effective value adding risk management in achieving the asset growth targets, while maintaining a quality lending book within the ambit of our policies and guidelines.

    Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

    • Lead the credit risk assessment and manage day-to-day operations
    • Think outside the box and create innovative credit evaluation processes and systems
    • Identify and approve the small businesses that can best benefit from our services
    • Evaluate clients for credit worthiness based our internal risk models & their application information
    • Weed out fraudulent applications, and unreliable applicants
    • Check Facility Letters and Loan Agreements and scrutinize the signed documents to ensure the correctness of the contracts
    • Build relationships and communicate with similar businesses to ensure information and knowledge sharing
    • Continuously ensure alignment/compliance to the credit risk management framework
    • Continuously analyse and recommend improvement on credit risk management framework, processes and systems

    Your profile

    • Minimum of Bachelor's degree
    • Preferably Institute of Bankers Diploma or a B.Com degree
    • Minimum 3+ years working experience in Financial Sector (Banking, Accounting, Tax, Legal, etc.) whereof minimum 1+ year being in credit
    • Previous experience with credit risk, invoice discounting or financial operations is a plus
    • Dependable, positive and detail-oriented with excellent follow-through skills
    • Leadership potential & interest
