    Database Management Officer

    Job Summary

    • Database Management Officer is a specialized IT professional responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of databases within an organization, from design and development to maintenance and optimization.
    • The role requires a strong understanding of database systems, security practices, and collaboration with other IT teams to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the organization's data infrastructure.

    Responsibilities

    • Installation, configuration and upgrading of DBMS database management system e.g. Oracle, MSSQL, Maria and MYSQL server software and related products.
    • Perform timely database backup and recovery in line with procedures and policy to achieve overall banks’ objective of business continuity.
    • Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges) in line with banks procedures and Policies.

    Head, Head, IT Governance and Enterprise Architecture

    Job Summary

    • To facilitate the alignment of Information Technology services with the bank’s business and mission critical objectives by ensuring that IT policies, strategies and resources are directed at creating and protecting value for stakeholders and deployed to effectively achieve the desired business results for the bank.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides expert advice to Management on service delivery and manages the overall IT budget from a planning and governance point of view.
    • Develops effective rollout of governance policies and processes for assigned functions and monitors to ensure compliance to define policies, processes, and procedures.
    • Provides advice and technical guidance to staff on Information Governance issues (Risk and Standards), including statutory and regulatory compliance.
    • Coordinates the identification, assessment, reporting and management of risk in relation to all aspects of information governance (IG) within the bank, including regular review of the Information Asset Risk Register.
    • Monitors and reviews to ensure that information security programmes are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies to minimize or eliminate risk and audit findings.
    • Reviews and ensures proper monitoring, tracking of all exceptions raised against Technology in risk and audit report and works with other teams within IT to develop remediation plans to address these exceptions. – (IT Compliance Dashboard).
    • Ensures the development and the implementation of procedures and controls to ensure compliance with applicable IT policies and relevant regulatory and legal framework for the IT Business Unit of the bank.
    • Develops and implements business-relevant metrics to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the IT Governance programmes, facilitate appropriate resource allocation and enhance the maturity of security and compliance mind-sets across the bank.
    • Coordinates the implementation of the Bank’s Integrated Management Systems (ISO standards, COBIT and PCI DSS) policies and monitors to ensure full adherence
    • Ensures that documents and accurate record of IT asset inventory as critical inputs to updating the bank’sIT  risk register are appropriately documented
    • Coordinate efforts to support any IT audits and review, and/or relevant regulatory bodies compliance exercise/investigations
    • Conducts IT Process Maturity review to gauge improvement requirements, while ensuring good practice risk mitigation and assessment functions are maintained
    • Provides input in the formulation of necessary information security policies, procedures and guidelines, facilitating ISMS awareness among staff and other stakeholders in ensuring sustenance of ISMS in the bank.
    • Maintains the flow of both electronic and hard-copied controlled documents, department files and resource materials, including writing document control systems and implementing, logging, tracking and matching batch records as well as coordinating document control issues.
    • Maintains, updates and delivers the information security related employee orientation/induction/on boarding, assisting with the maintenance and dissemination of information security policies, procedures and guidelines
    • Provides the structure and framework that links IT processes, resources and information systems to enterprise business strategies and objectives.
    • Monitors IT processes, service delivery and performance of applications and systems for compliance and to gauge efficiency of operations.
    • Liaises with relevant Business Units to facilitate response to all requests for information from internal and external auditors / regulators
    • Ensures that documents and accurate record of IT asset inventory as critical inputs to updating the bank’s IT  risk register are appropriately documented
    • Conducts periodic review of IT department Job profiles and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all activities are captured and are up to date.
    • Developing an IT continuity framework (to ensure continuous services).

    • Lead the development and maintenance of enterprise architecture models, ensuring they align with business goals and support strategic initiatives.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to understand current and future business needs, translating them into actionable architecture requirements.
    • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, solutions, and methodologies to enhance the overall IT architecture.
    • Ensure that the enterprise architecture is scalable, secure, and able to accommodate evolving business requirements.
    • Develops and manages the information security training program for all employees and the ecosystem, which includes annual security awareness training, policy specific training, Newsletters, security notifications as well as the global phishing campaign.
    • Conducts periodic efficiency and posts deployment review of services IT services for adequacy and calls the attention of responsible Business Units to identified issues/gaps in the system, as well as following up to ensure proper resolution.
    • Conducts periodic (quarterly) review of the Technology SWOT analysis document to track improvements and propose revisions and/or additions to policies and procedures strengthen operations, as well as internal controls.
    • Analyses and reviews audit findings and follows up with IT Support teams to ensure timely resolution.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or related fields 
    • Possession of a relevant professional certification like ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF, CISA, MCSE etc. 
    • Minimum of 6 years relevant work experience in the banking industry.

    Head, Regulatory Compliance

    Job Summary

    • To ensure adherence to regulatory policies and directives by Planning, implementing, and monitoring risk-related programs. Implement and manage an effective Due Diligence program by creating and coordinating procedures for onboarding high risk customers.
    • Developing an effective compliance communication strategy by developing, coordinating, and scheduling required compliance training for employees.

    Responsibilities

    • Interfaces with key regulatory agencies and Law Enforcement agencies i.e. NDIC, CBN, FIRS, EFCC, NPF, NCS, DSS, NDLEA etc. Liaise with regulators as advised by CCO/co-ordinate requirements for routine regulatory examination.
    • Coordinates responses to regulatory/law enforcement letters of enquiry i.e. EFCC, CBN, NDLEA.  Respond to Law enforcement enquiries with a turnaround time of 48hrs.
    • Prepares and implement the compliance AML/CFT training programme. To identify gaps and enable the development of tailored training programme which will cultivate the required skill set to drive the expected change.
    • Administers the Compliance Help Desk and provides daily reports on emerging compliance issues, new regulations and other compliance events.
    • Compiles and consolidates Frequently asked Questions on all Compliance areas of Concern and emerging risk.
    • To send out weekly compliance Nuggets to stakeholders based on observed compliance risk.
    • Implements and monitor the adherence to compliance. Promoting compliance awareness and culture. Offer Compliance Advisory to SBU and Staff on Compliance Matters
    • Designs compliance fliers and memos that are targeted at educating staff on various areas of compliance.
    • Carries out routine Compliance check on the Bank compliance Status on regulatory directives and provide feedback to CCO.
    • Conducts Due Diligence on specific subject of interest seeking to establish relationship with the bank, in line with CDD procedures for correspondent banks, financial partners and high-risk customers.
    • Carries out Due Diligence review on FCY transfers (incoming/outgoing). Maintain and periodically review the Good guy list on FCY transfers for expiration of approvals and qualification of new customers for inclusion.
    • Carries out Due Diligence on Fintech Merchants and assess Regulatory and Money laundering risk. Continuous monitoring of Fintech related activities.
    • Coordinates Correspondent bank AML status KYC/CDD verification /calls/visits and make relevant reports.
    • Monitors and maintain dashboard on all High-risk accounts bank-wide, and tracks and update KYC status of high-risk accounts bank-wide.
    • Prepares monthly reports on all activities of the Regulatory Compliance (Advisory) & Customer Due Diligence desk for the month under review.
    • Consolidates and prepares half-year and full-year reports on all activities of the Regulatory Compliance (Advisory) & Customer Due desk within the period under review.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in any course of study
    • At least 5 years banking experience in compliance, internal control & operations
    • Professional Compliance Certification (CAMS, CRCMP AND DCP) preferred.
    • Understanding of risk & regulatory requirements
    • Knowledge and use of technology-based tools for controls and data security compliance.

    Team Lead, Legal Drafting and Review

    Job Summary

    • To ensure that the bank’s business/operational transactions are properly documented and comply with legal requirements and extant rules to minimise potential exposure ligation or any conceivable liabilities in the bank’s business relationships, thereby reinforcing the tone of a compliance culture

    Responsibilities

    • Reviews and provides ongoing legal advice on MOUs, Contracts, and tender documents on different aspects of the bank’s business and operation transactions to confirm legal acceptability and adequacy.
    • Assists with the formulation, application and update of the legal compliance checklists for all the business units to be used for the purpose of ensuring that all information required for any business/operational transaction is, as required.
    • Prepares and reviews legal drafts on business/operational transactions in support of and consultation with relevant units using acceptable precedents.
    • Liaises with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action are or will be taken to protect/project the bank’s interest and mitigate any impact on business operations.
    • Provides specialist advice and guidance on legal protection to management decisions and actions, especially in relation to probate matters, contracts management and the bank’s obligations.
    • Provides and interprets legal information/documentation, as well as conducting training and disseminating appropriate legal requirements to staff.
    • Monitors and reviews the execution of business and operational transactions of the bank to ensure full compliance with the bank’s policy guidelines and statutory obligations.
    • Documents, collates, and prepares periodic (weekly, monthly and quarterly etc.) reports on the legal drafts, reviews and legal advisory for executive management meetings and regulatory bodies.
    • Handles the filing of all the executed contracts within the bank’s contracts filing system and reviews to ensure that all material contracts are audit ready for diligence activities.
    • Attends to Branches’ requests in respect of matter arising from day-to-day operations which require legal advice/guidance.
    • Assists the Head of Legal Services in the Unit’s involvement in, and compliance with the Bank’s Information Security Management Policies, Business Continuity Management, BS25999, ISO 27001, and initiatives, Internal Audit outcomes and compliance with recommendations, ICAFAS, Business Performance Management, PSQA etc.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of First degree in Law and 
    • Professional Certificate of Barrister at Law (LL. B) is compulsory.
    • Professional legal practice and experience of not less than 10 - 12 years. Legal practice in chambers shall be an advantage.
    • Knowledge and use of technology-based tools for controls and data security compliance
    • Negotiation (as it relates to back and forth with counterparties on terms to be captured in a contract).
