    Accountant

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in account payables and  accounts receivables
    • Handle Petty Cash/documentations and ensure proper control
    • Assist in Bank reconciliations/other GL accounts
    • VAT /WHT remittances, fillings and documentations
    • PAYE/PENSION remittances and fillings.
    • Daily Cash flow Report and to ensure collections are updated daily on ERP
    • Ensure protection of the company’s assets through internal control and internal audits.
    • Assist in planning, analyzing and  budgeting control
    • Assist in preparation of management/audited account
    • Respond to all audit/Tax queries
    • Any other functions that may be assigned

    Required Skills:

    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • At least 3 -5 years of relevant experience
    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Membership of ICAN/ACCA an added advantage
    • Proficiency in Excel 
    • Good knowledge of an ERP System
    • Great analytical skills

    Internal Controller

    Candidate Profile:

    Solar Engineer/Technical Lead

    JOB OVERVIEW 

    • This candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all engineering and technical (non-IT) activities, to ensure we have the right products and they are all in good working condition, to train the field and office staff on new products and best practise and to run pilots on new products and accessories.

    MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    Product Design and Development

    • Develop and run market tests on new products (including components and accessories) that can meet the customers’ energy needs and functional requirements. 
    • Develop/Review design specifications & functional requirements, test run products and recommend engineering or manufacturing changes;
    • Perform usage and life time stress tests, or cost reduction analysis; 
    • Recommend technical design or process changes to improve efficiency, quality, or performance.

    Installation and Repairs

    • Small scale (<3kW) Power System installation and Maintenance
    • Develop standard procedures and quality or safety standards for installation and repairs 
    • Provide technical direction or support to installation and repair teams during installation, testing, system commissioning, repairs or performance monitoring
    • Develop and implement a train-the-trainer program for technical installations and repairs 
    • Develop a technical problem resolution and escalation process 
    • Provide support to the Customer Care Agents in troubleshooting technical issues 

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

    • Qualifications:  Degree in Electrical Engineering, Solar Engineering or a related degree.

    Experience: 

    • Practical Experience repairing Electronic Equipment (Solar Systems, TV, etc)
    • Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
    • Documenting/Recording Information — Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form.
    • Ability to provide consultation, guidance and expert advice to management and other groups on technical, systems or process-related issues/topics.
    • Ability to analyze and process data/information — Compiling, calculating or verifying, etc.
    • Capacity to train others
    • Ability and willingness to travel for field visits is critical and to work on-call during off shift hours

    Business Analyst

    Core responsibilities : 

    • Support the MD in the research, analysis and preparation of all documentation required for key decision making as required 
    • Under the guidance of the MD ensure the effective monitoring and tracking of all Oolu Nigeria’s country KPIs, strategic initiatives and projects
    • Service Oolu Nigeria management team and Board, where necessary
    • Provide executive support in the day to day work of the Managing Director ( MD) 
    • Serve as a liaison to the management teams; organizes and coordinates weekly meetings, executive outreach and external relations efforts; and oversees special projects.

    Market Research & Product Development

    • Collect data on customers, competitors and market place and consolidate information into actionable items, reports, presentations and recommendations 
    • Lead market research efforts including coordinating external data agencies and organizing internal surveys and/or focus groups to garner better customer insights in line with business objectives 
    • Work with operations/product manager in HQ-Dakar to find avenues to improve product performance and portfolio expansion
    • Provide support in the roll out of new products when available.

    Operations Support

    • Analyze and report on the achievement of daily, weekly, quarterly etc., sales targets across the business as well as other key metrics
    • Track the resolution of any problems that could impede sales in the field.
    • Ensure agenda for weekly/bi-monthly roundtable meetings with all Heads of Regions & Territories, including knowledge sharing sessions as well as follow-up on the implementation of the action points from these meetings.
    • Provide suggestions on how to enhance sales productivity by identifying how sales teams can work smarter/efficiently and ensuring the sales team have the relevant tools to actualize this.
    • Work with sales operations to ensure the development and dissemination of all sales report across the organization
    • Handle all administrative activities related to the sales force and organization
    • Coordinate projects plans , follow up on actions to implement with different stakeholders involved

    Executive Support

    • Conducts research on work being carried out by the MD to identify and evaluate current needs and assembles materials needed for proposals, reports etc.
    • Develops draft of investor reports in line with the agreed template or format
    • Track, manage and prioritize work activities for the MD as well as monitor overall performance in line with agreed KPIs
    • Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner as well as take minutes of meetings 
    • Supports MD in managing stakeholders and key relationships and act as the point of contact among executives, employees, clients and other external partners
    • Assists the MD with daily administrative duties and completes a broad variety of administrative tasks that include managing appointments; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, agendas and compiling documents for meetings and providing advice on work/project related matters and issues.

    Profile :

    • Bachelor’s degree and a 2+ years of experience in an administrative assistant capacity
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, external partners and donors.
    • Excellent understanding of business development, and sales operations
    • Experience in Project Management will be a plus
    • Proficiency in Windows, including MS Word, EXCEL and PowerPoint 
    • Knowledge of Power BI or other analytical tool will be a plus
    • Ability to conduct research and present data in a succinct and well-written manner.
    • Ability to work independently and with professional discretion
    • Excellent writing, editing, grammatical, organizational, and research skills.
    • Excellent management, time-management, and problem-solving skills.

    Technical Assistant

    Core responsibilities: 

     Technical and Repair work

    • Regularly: Test, analyze and repair solar systems and their components;
    • Regularly: Review technical tickets and complete online reports with detailed information;
    • Regularly: manage the stock of spare parts and the reverse logistics for faulty components;
    • Occasionally: Perform tests on new products and accessories;
    • Occasionally: Support the training of field staff on the correct installation of solar systems, effective troubleshooting, new products and best practices

    Warehouse and Logistics Operations

    • Receive goods physically into the warehouse, ensure the quantity received of any product is same with the quantity ordered on purchase order
    • Ensure the stock is in the right place in the warehouse and in the right condition
    • Coordinate with the sales team to identify needs in the region
    • Organize the transport to sales team and ensure delivery
    • Carry out monthly inventories of the region in liaison with the sales team
    • Draft and send the inventory report to the central team in Lagos

    Profile : 

    • Theoretical and practical knowledge of electronics, electric circuit and solar systems
    • Practical experience in the repair and maintenance of electronic equipment (SHS, TV, etc.)
    • Previous relevant work experience in a similar position in the energy sector
    • Good understanding of in-bound and out-bound logistics
    • Attention to details and ability to organise the daily work independently 
    • Ability to analyze and process data / information using excel or google sheet and to write concise and clear reports, 
    • Curiosity and interest in understanding how products work and the root cause of problems;
    • Be proactive and a critical thinker.
