    Human Resource Officer

    Job Role

    • The primary focus of this role is to support the growth of Mkobo by providing necessary assistance to the Hr & Admin Manager on human resource services to ensure the achievement of business strategy and corporate objectives.
    • The HR Officer duties involve a wide range of support activities in the HR department, including coordinating meetings, maintaining Employee database and also posting job adverts.
    • An important part of the role will be to act as the liaison between the HR & Admin Manager and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions.
    • The HR Officer will also assist in creating policies, processes and documents.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties.
    • Provide clerical and administrative support to HR & Admin Manager.
    • Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies).
    • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to Human Resources activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc).
    • Coordinate Human Resources activities (meetings, training, surveys etc) and take minutes and attendance for all employee meetings.
    • Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, policies and processes.
    • Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews.
    • Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees
    • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc)
    • Ensure the office is open for business before resumption.
    • Ensure the Office Assistant keeps the office premises clean at all times.
    • Any other tasks/duties as may be assigned from time to time 

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3 Years relevant professional experience in a similar role.
    • Minimum of Degree in International Relations, Business Administration, or any Social Science.
    • Knowledge of digitizing HR processes end to end or of any HRIS systems.
    • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Professional Human Resources qualifications/certification 
    • Must be a member of a relevant professional institute

    Product Manager

    Qualifications

    Your Profile

    • You have a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in a similar role with a solid experience in conceptualising, developing and launching products on time using a design thinking approach.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field  + MBA would be a plus
    • Demonstrable experience working with Digital Banking products is highly preferred (eg internet banking, Faster payments, mobile apps, Blockchain etc)
    • Consumer financial services industry experience and strong understanding of Digital business, while experience with travel, lifestyle, or other consumer product development is a strong advantage.
    • Strong product management experience in digital companies with a customer-focused, results-based approach and ability to deliver to deadlines.
    • You have a solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
    • Technical mindset, paired with strong analytical skills
    • Strong communication and stakeholder skills and the confidence in your experience to champion your ideas
    • User journey design and customer testing across digital services

    THE ROLE

    • This is a strategic role where you will work closely with the CEO and lead a team of professionals to design, build and roll-out our digital banking products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy.

    Role Objectives include

    • Manage the product roadmap and backlog for all digital products
    • Oversee and manage lead requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, feature development, and user acceptance testing
    • Partner with the executive teams to identify key capabilities needed as well as identifying potential issues
    • Partner with cross functional teams regularly to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritization
    • Partner with IT to manage the roadmap and backlog to ensure that IT delivers all capabilities on time and per expectation
    • Work with product marketing to develop positioning and messaging to ensure differentiation from competitors
    • Monitor and evaluate product performance to ensure constant product iteration and improvements

    Responsibilities Include

    • Manage the product roadmap and backlog for all digital products
    • Oversee and manage lead requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, feature development, and user acceptance testing
    • Partner with the executive teams to identify key capabilities needed as well as identifying potential issues
    • Partner with cross functional teams regularly to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritisation
    • Partner with Technology team to manage the roadmap and backlog to ensure that the team delivers all capabilities on time and per expectation
    • Monitor and evaluate product performance to ensure constant product iteration and improvements
    • Scoping and prioritising activities based on business and customer impact.
    • Driving product launches through collaboration with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members.
    • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.
