    Data Center Facility Engineers

    Responsibilities

    •  The Data Center Facility & BMS Engineer will be responsible for capacity planning and upgrade, ability to plan, and upgrade systems within the infrastructure.

    Other responsibilities will include;

    • Carrying out troubleshooting and diagnoses of failed critical equipment and determine root cause of equipment failure, take first-line corrective action to restore the equipment and ensure reliability improvement of same equipment.
    • Innovate, Implement, and practice energy savings and reduce the cost of operation.
    • Evaluate new products and technologies to ensure efficient and effective infrastructure delivery
    • Provide direction for the day to day operations and monitoring of the Data Center electrical & mechanical components such as CHILLERS, CRAC/CRAH VESDA & FM200, Access Control, CCTV, Water Leakage Detection etc.
    • Performing, supervising, scheduling Corrective Maintenance in the Data Centers and change management
    • Second level troubleshooting and resolution of Mechanical and Electrical related faults relating to Generators, Chillers, HPAC/CRAC units, secondary Pumps, Extractor fans, UPS, AVR etc.
    • Ensures preventative and predictive maintenance program is implemented and followed throughout with support vendors as planned
    • Maintain adequate records for undergoing operational audits both internal as well as external
    • Facility vendor/Contractor supervision.
    • Ensure proper and effective housekeeping within the facility
    • Ability to monitor the delivery of service especially by 3rd party vendors rendered to customers.

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

    • B.Eng in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
    • ITIL Certification and any relevant Facility Management/BMS/DCIM certification will be added advantage.
    • Transferable experience of at least 4 years
    • The capability of creating, understanding and interpreting Single Line Diagrams with the view of resolving second level electrical issues.
    • Good Knowledge of BMS server, DCIM Server, NVR, CHILLERS, CRAH/CRAC, VESDA & FM200, Access Control, CCTV Systems, HVAC Systems, intrusion detection System
    • Excellent second level ability to troubleshoot Mechanical and Electrical systems faults within the DC infrastructure.
    • Good Technical Knowledge of various Electrical and Mechanical Distribution and sub systems
    • Capacity planning change management and ability to develop MOP for all change and plan upgrade within the infrastructure.
    • Strong team player
    • Strong organizational skills and innovative problem-solving abilities.
    • Good communication & interpersonal skills, multitasking with an ability to interact with a wide range of people and be a Good Team player.
    • Excellent logical reasoning and troubleshooting skills.

    Finance Supervisor

    Responsibilities

    • Provide pricing/margin analysis and decision support across West Africa (Nigeria, Ghana and Cote D’Ivoire) towards achieving target GP and EBITDA margin.
    • Coordinate profitability of relevant sales contracts to ensure aggregate weighted price erosion does not exceed budget.
    • Support the quarterly price review initiative by driving the market intelligence gathering monthly and quarterly. Perform costing approval of all standard and complex connectivity solutions on Salesforce.
    • Perform costing approval of all standard and complex cloud solutions on Salesforce.
    • Perform costing approval of all standard colocation solutions on Salesforce.
    • Maintain daily tracker/pricing report for all pricing proposals issued and update pricing database weekly. Monitor exchange rate daily movement and advise relevant teams for customer facing transactions (billing, technical sales e.t.c).
    • Ensure daily update of rates tables for the connectivity pricing tool on Salesforce.
    • Support the pricing function with innovation, intelligence and new perspectives.

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics / Finance / Accounting or any numerate course
    • Five (5) years relevant experience in commercial management, pricing, financial planning or bid management role with at least two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory role.

    Demands of the Job:

    • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Skilled in basic and intermediate excel formula).
    • Working knowledge of Salesforce. 
    • Knowledge in financial analysis and scenario based decision support. Good attention to details.

    Facility Engineer

    Responsibilities
    The Facility Engineer will be responsible for the following functions:

    • Good in Solution Designs and Execution Perform troubleshooting & Resolving Electrical / Electronics faults and other facilities items Provisioning of power and installation of AC & DC equipment.
    • Prepare accurate daily, weekly and Monthly reports. Ensuring that safety and health standards at work are adhered to.
    • Acts as the primary contact for all third party (facilities) related issues (emergencies and repairs).
    • Maintenance of all MainOne and third-party POP facilities as well as service coordination and service providers’ management.
    • Ability to respond to Emergency/Call out to attend to power related issues on 3rd party Pops.
    • Carry out regular assessment of POP facilities to determine items that are due for replacement or repair and initiate appropriate action.
    • Follow up with 3rd Party Engineers (Transmission/OSP/IP) to resolve issues on sites. To provide a cover up for shift Engineers when need be.

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

    • B.Sc / HND in any relevant discipline.
    • Minimum of +4 years in telecom facility operations & maintenance experience.
    • Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools.
    • Facilities management.
    • Project management. Excellent people skills.
    • Must be customer service oriented.
    • Contract/vendor management skills Good interpersonal relationship.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficiency in working with AC and DC power systems.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
    • Good in Documentation and Processes Good in Solution Designs
