    Housekeeping Manager

    Job Description

    • Inspect guest room on a daily basis and ensure status is communicated to the front desk in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Coordinate household cleaning service operations and assign housekeeping staff to specific shifts, rooms and block to meet business demands and track attendance.
    • Oversee the housekeeping department budget, take inventory and ensure there is adequate supplies
    • Monitor all the daily operations of the housekeeping department and enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly
    • Inspect the environment within the organization to ensure it meets minimum best practice
    • Develop and implement housekeeping systems and procedures and prepare reports for management information.
    • Adhere to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices
    • Protect equipment and make sure there are no adequacies, notify management on any damages or deficits
    • Obtain list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list prospective check-in and outs to prepare work assignments
    • Respond to customer complaints and special request professionally
    • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is evident throughout the property in Housekeeping (in rooms, public and common areas)
    • To monitor and develop the Work schedules, Section Plans and Vacation schedules and to conduct Performance Appraisals for the Housekeeping Staff
    • To adhere to, and to ensure that the Housekeeping Department Staff adheres to all Company Policies and Procedures, Manuals and Directives

    Qualifications

    • Candidates should possess minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Hospitality Management or related field
    • Minimum of 5+ years relevant experience in housekeeping management, guest services or similar role
    • Extensive Knowledge of environmental services including detailed cleaning processes and a wide range of cleaning supplies and equipment
    • Proficiency in the use of information and communication technology is a plus.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill and people management skill
    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
    • Ability to think critically over housekeeping issues and proffer cost-effective solutions.
    • Use of Micros/opera is a must.

    Maintenance / Facility Manager

    Requirements

    • Qualification: B.Sc / HND in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering
    • Must have registered with COREN or registrable with COREN
    • Minimum of 10 years work experience in a Five Star Hotel.

    Skills and Attributes:

    • Excellent knowledge of the following:
      • Passenger lift system
      • Working of electronic door system
      • Laundry equipments
      • Kitchen / bakery equipment
      • Electronic doors
      • Fire Alarm equipment
      • Water treatment / pool equipments and system
    • Capacity to lead a team of artisans to carry out simple repair on furniture, electrical and other secondary items in other to make sure that the facility is always kept at it original form.

    Chef de Partie

    Location: Osogbo Osun

    Responsibilities

    • Preparing specific food items and meal components at your station.
    • Following directions provided by the head chef.
    • Collaborating with the rest of the culinary team to ensure high-quality food and service.
    • Keeping your area of the kitchen safe and sanitary.
    • Stocktaking and ordering supplies for your station.
    • Improving your food preparation methods based on feedback.
    • Assisting in other areas of the kitchen when required.

    Requirements

    • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years work experience.
    • Qualification from a culinary school.
    • Past experience working in a similar role.
    • Ability to work well in a team.
    • Excellent listening and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of best practices for safety and sanitation.
    • Passion for delivering great food and service.
    • Multitasking and organizational ability.
    • Available to work shifts during weekends and holidays.

    Chef / Cook

    Location: Osogbo, Osun

    Responsibilities

    • Accurately measuring meal ingredients.
    • Preparing meal ingredients, which includes seasoning of different meats as well as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits.
    • Preparing basic salads and sauces as directed by the Chef de Partie.
    • Receiving deliveries and verifying that all ordered items have been delivered and are of good quality.
    • Taking inventory of restaurant supplies and notifying the supervisor of low or depleted supplies.
    • Discarding all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers.
    • Performing basic cleaning duties and ensuring that workstations are properly sanitized.
    • Plating and presenting meal items as per the Chef de Partie’s instructions.

    Requirements

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or certification in culinary arts is advantageous.
    • A food handler's license.
    • Proven commercial kitchen experience.
    • Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
    • The ability to stand for extended periods.
    • The ability to work under pressure.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Effective communication skills.
