    Hospital Pharmacist

    Job Summary

    • We are a hospital located in Akoka, Yaba in search of a skilled and detail-oriented Hospital Pharmacist to ensure the availability, proper dispensing, and management of medications and consumables.
    • The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate inventory of medications in MS. Excel format and on hospital EMR to ensure NO stock-outs
    • Ensure prompt requisition of drugs and consumables in the pharmacy
    • Maintain accurate records of disbursed of drugs and consumables
    • Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting doctor’s prescriptions and detecting incompatibilities
    • Utilize hospital EMR to dispense medications either by compounding, packaging and accurate labelling
    • Inform and assist patients in understanding proper usage of prescribed medication
    • Maintain a clean customer-friendly workplace
    • Maintain relationships with drugs and consumables suppliers
    • Maintain a cabinet of all medication that expires in six (6) months or less and ensure • replenishment before expiry date
    • Review and update drugs and consumables price quarterly and share prompt updates with the accounts department to ensure the hospital remains profitable
    • Ensure usage statistics of drugs are maintained monthly
    • Prepare monthly pharmacy and Drug revolving fund (DRF) report
    • Ensure practice pharmacy license is always valid
    • Keep updated on pharmaceutical trends through professional development.

    Qualifications

    • B.Sc. in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
    • 5 - 7 years hospital pharmacist experience
    • Valid Federal Pharmacy Practice License.

    Skills:

    • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and IHMS is an advantage.

    Accounts Officer

    Job Summary

    • We are on the hunt for a highly analytical and qualified Accounts Officer to join our team. In this pivotal position, your duties will include planning budgets, participating in audits, monitoring financial transactions, posting standard journal entries, managing and reconciling Health Management Organization (HMO) claims and receivables, reconciling payables and bank activities, and serving as the primary liaison between the hospital and HMO partners to ensure prompt and accurate payments.
    • To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of financial policies, procedures, and systems. In addition to being an excellent communicator, our ideal candidate must be a detailed person with outstanding analytical and time management abilities. Candidate must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and at least one accounting software.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting or Finance.
    • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
    • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
    • Proven experience in HMO claims management, reconciliation, and liaison within a healthcare setting is essential.

    Midwife / Staff Nurse

    Job Description

    • The Staff Nurse or Midwife is responsible for providing safe, compassionate, and high quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and nursing protocols.

    Responsibilities

    • Assisting in patient assessment, treatment, documentation, and overall clinical coordination to ensure efficiency, patient satisfaction, and adherence to professional ethics.
    • Administer medications and treatments strictly as prescribed by the doctor, adhering to the Six Rights of Drug Administration.
    • Maintain accurate and real-time documentation in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and nursing charts.
    • Monitor patients’ conditions and promptly report any abnormal findings to the doctor.
    • Prepare wards and ensure patient readiness for admission, surgery, and discharge.
    • Assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient management, ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are available and functional.
    • Provide patient education on medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up appointments.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Registered Nurse (RN) with valid licenses.
    • Registered Midwife (RM) is an added advantage
    • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a hospital with a strong background in midwifery.
    • Sound knowledge of nursing procedures and patient care standards.
    • Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
    • Demonstrated empathy, professionalism, and commitment to patient-centered care.
